Day 1B of The Opener Kicks Starts at 6PM
The first of 15 gold bracelet events of the 2019 World Series of Poker Europe at the King's Resort is off to a good start thanks to 399 entries on the first of two starting days of Event #1: €350 The Opener No-Limit Hold'em. Only 84 players bagged up chips after 14 levels of 40 minutes each.
All those that failed to advance to Day 2 can take another shot at the guaranteed prize pool of €220,700, as Day 1B kicks off at 6 p.m. local time in Europe's biggest poker arena. As yesterday, the late registration remains open for the first 12 levels until approximately 3 a.m. local time and the second flight will conclude upon completion of level 14 in the early morning hours around 5 a.m. local time.
Each participant receives 30,000 in chips to start with and two re-entries are allowed during the registration period. The chip leader thus far is Ukraine's Renat Bogdanov, who bagged up impressive 525,000 earlier this morning, the only player to advance with more than half a million in chips. He is followed by Dutchman Bartel Kars with 374,500 and Roland Israelashvili (322,000), owner of six WSOPC rings.
Among those expected to take another shot today are 2019 World Series of Poker Player of the Year contender Robert Campbell, six-time bracelet winner Daniel Negreanu, David "ODB" Baker or Erik Cajelais.
