Welcome to Day 1 of the Event #11: €2,200 Pot-Limit Omaha
The biggest buy-in of 2019 World Series of Poker Europe for the format of Pot-Limit Omaha exclusively is getting close to its start, with Event #11: €2,200 Pot-Limit Omaha scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. local time, here at King's Resort.
This will be the ninth bracelet offering for this year's festival and the second for Pot-Limit Omaha, after Event #2: €550 Pot-Limit Omaha that went to Dash Dudley, who won his second bracelet this year.
Last year's event concluded with 187 entries, which gathered €358,853 in the prize pool and it was won by Hong Kong's Anson Tsang who shipped his first WSOP gold bracelet along with €91,730 (~$105,167) in prize money. He defeated Russia's Ilya Bulychev in the heads-up, who took €56,684 (~$64,987) for his second place finish. Anson Tsang is expected to make his appearance today to defend his title, since he played almost all event of the 2019's festival so far.
All players who will put the €2,200 for the buy-in will receive 40,000 as a starting stack to work their way, while the blinds for the first day will be 40 minutes. The late registration will last until the end of Level 12 and the players will have the chance of unlimited re-entries in case they lose all of their chips during the first twelve levels.
Day 1 is scheduled to end after fifteen levels of play, with a sixty-minute dinner break scheduled after Level 6 and 20-minute breaks after every three levels or color ups.
