Francesco Candelari Eliminated in 9th Place (15,984)

Level 35 : 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante
Francesco Candelari
Francesco Candelari

Avraham Dayan raised to 800,000 in middle position and Avraham Dayan shoved all in for his last 800,000 in the cutoff. The rest of the table folded and the two hands were face up.

Avraham Dayan: {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}
Francesco Candelari: {k-Spades}{q-Spades}

Dayan was in another dominating position and the flop of {j-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} changed nothing. The {j-Diamonds} paired the board on the turn and the {a-Clubs} on the river only improved Dayan to two pair.

Candelari On Crumbs

Level 34 : 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante

Marian Kubis opened to 575,000 in middle position with {a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} and picked up a call from Avraham Dayan on his left with {k-Spades}{q-Hearts}. Francesco Candelari three-bet to 2,000,000 on the button with {q-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} which got Kubis to fold but Dayan called.

The flop fell {4-Spades}{4-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} and Dayan announced all in, putting Candelari to the test for his remaining 800,000 chips. Candelari went into the tank for at least a few minutes and the clock was finally called. During his countdown, Candelari eventually slid his cards to the muck, leaving himself with just over three big blinds.

Dayan Throwing His Weight Around

Level 34 : 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante

Sergii Karpov opened to 550,000 from under the gun with {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds} and Avraham Dayan called from the cutoff with {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}. The two players saw a flop of {q-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} and Karpov continued for 550,000. Dayan called and the {k-Hearts} rolled off on the turn.

Karpov checked after making top pair and Dayan cut out a bet of 1,600,000 with a straight and flush draw. Karpov thought for a minute but decided to lay down the best hand.

Level 34 : 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante

Dieter Becker raised to 700,000 with the {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} on the button and Avraham Dayan three-bet out of the big blind with {9-Spades}{9-Hearts} to win the pot.

Christoph Peper then raised to 525,000 with {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs} and Dayan called in the small blind with {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}, as did Bertrand Grospellier in the big blind with the {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}. All three players checked to the {4-Spades} turn and Dayan bet 1,200,000 to force a fold from Grospellier and Peper.

Kubis Doubles Through Pezzoli

Level 34 : 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante

Bertrand Grospellier opened to 525,000 in early position and Alessandro Pezzoli called from the button along with Marian Kubis in the big blind. The flop came {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}{7-Clubs} and the action checked around to the {10-Hearts} on the turn. Kubis jammed all in for 2,600,000 which got Grospellier to fold but Pezzoli snap-called.

Marian Kubis: {k-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}
Alessandro Pezzoli: {q-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}

Kubis flopped two pair but Pezzoli turned a straight to leave Kubis drawing slim. However, the {7-Hearts} on the river paired the board and Kubis made a full house to double up.

Pasquale Braco Eliminated in 10th Place (12,453)

Level 34 : 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante
Pasquale Braco
Pasquale Braco

Francesco Candelari opened to 625,000 from under the gun with and Dieter Becker three-bet to 1,600,000 in the hijack. Pasquale Braco four-bet shoved all in for 4,600,000 in the small blind and the action folded back to Candelari who thought for a moment before folding his {10-Hearts}{9-Clubs}. Becker instantly called and the hands were tabled.

Dieter Becker: {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Pasquale Braco: {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}

It was a classic coin flip and Becker held on to the lead through the {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}{4-Clubs} flop. The turn was the {8-Hearts} and the river was the {2-Clubs} to eliminate Braco in 10th place.

Level 34 : 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante
Shaun Deeb
Shaun Deeb

Shaun Deeb limped in from the small blind and Bertrand Grospellier checked his option. The flop fell {q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{9-Spades} and Deeb led out for 250,000. Grospellier raised to 800,000 and Deeb made the call.

The turn was the {10-Diamonds} and Deeb checked this time. Grospellier counted out a bet of 1,775,000 and Deeb went into the tank for over a minute. He eventually shoved all in for 3,050,000 and Grospellier quickly called.

Deeb whipped over {j-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} but Grospellier was well ahead with {j-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} for a flopped straight. The {a-Hearts} completed the board and Deeb immediately left the tournament area in 11th place.
