Up and Down for Ricci

Level 37 : 250,000/500,000, 500,000 ante

Andrea Ricci opened to 1,000,000 in the hijack with {5-Spades}{5-Hearts} and was called by Riadh Farhat in the cutoff with {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}. They went heads-up to a flop of {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{3-Spades} and Ricci continued with a bet of 1,000,000. Farhat quickly folded and Ricci collected the pot.

On the next hand, Edmond Jahjaga limped in from the small blind and Ricci checked his option. The flop came {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} and they both checked to the {3-Spades} on the turn.

Jahjaga led out with a bet of 1,000,000 and Ricci called to see the {10-Hearts} on the river. Jahjaga checked this time and Ricci fired out a bet of 1,400,000. Jahjaga looked him up and Ricci showed {9-Spades}{5-Spades} for a missed flush draw while Jahjaga held {k-Spades}{8-Diamonds} for two pair.

Zlatin Penev Eliminated in 6th Place (€29,008)

Level 37 : 250,000/500,000, 500,000 ante
Zlatin Penev
Zlatin Penev

Edmond Jahjaga raised to 1,000,000 in the hijack and Zlatin Penev shipped all in for 9,175,000 in the small blind. The action was back to Jahjaga who looked back at his cards before making the call.

Zlatin Penev: {k-Clubs}{q-Spades}
Edmond Jahjaga: {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

Penev was in rough shape up against the pocket kings and the flop of {8-Clubs}{3-Spades}{2-Clubs} didn't provide much help. The {4-Spades} on the turn left Penev drawing dead to the {5-Clubs} on the river.
