Dvoress Wins Heizmann's Trophy; Suriano Tanks Into Break
Adel Boulhadid raised to 17,000 under the gun before Daniel Dvoress three-bet to 120,000 in middle position. Stefan Heizmann then moved all in for 211,000 and Boulhadid tanked for a moment before folding. Dvoress also considered the decision for a minute but he called to put Heizmann at risk.
Stefan Heizmann: 10?10?
Daniel Dvoress: A?K?
The other players at the table expressed shock at the strength of Dvoress' hand after he took so long to call. Heizmann stood up from his seat and watched as the A?J?6? flop gave Dvoress top pair.
The board ran out A?6? and Dvoress finished with a full house to send Heizmann to the rail.
At the same time on another table, Davide Suriano and Keneshka Kabir were heads-up on a board of 10?5?7?A?K? when Suriano bet 27,000 from middle position.
Kabir then raised to 100,000 in the cutoff, sending Suriano deep into the tank. Several minutes elapsed into break as Suriano continued to think about the decision.
"Ace-ten," he asked Kabir.
"No. All I want is a drink, so two minutes is enough," Kabir replied. Suriano eventually called and Kabir turned over K?10? for two pair. Suriano angrily flung his cards away as the start-of-day chip leader took the pot.
