Eljach Coolers Magny to the Rail
Giuseppe Mazza-Boussemart and Gilles Magny built a pot of around 1,300,000 heading to the turn on a board of Q?2?9?9?. Mazza-Boussemart then moved all in from the cutoff.
Magny, with around 800,000 remaining, tanked for several minutes as the two players chatted about the decision.
"Can we have some cake and coffee? They're having a rendezvous over there," tablemate Sebastian Langrock joked with a tournament official. "That's my way of almost calling time," Langrock added.
Magny eventually folded, but the next hand he found himself facing an all-in shove again. Omar Eljach bet 150,000 from the big blind on a board of 7?8?3?9? and Magny called in the cutoff.
The river came the 8? and Eljach moved all in. The rest of the room had already left for break as Magny continued to tank. He eventually called for 450,000.
Eljach turned over J?10? for a straight and Magny showed A?8? as he got up to make his exit. "Tough river," Eljach told him.
