Klezys Drives Jaros Crazy; Alioto Gets Away With a Raise on Rolli
Heads-up blind versus blind, Patrik Jaros bet 34,000 on a board of K?6?5?5? and Kasparas Klezys called.
The river came the 7? and Jaros inquired about the size of the pot before leading out with just 31,000. Klezys then raised to 120,000.
Jaros sat back in his chair receiving a massage as the minutes ticked off the clock. He eventually peeked back at his cards and folded after more than five minutes.
At the same time at another table, Dario Alioto and Fabian Rolli were also in a blind versus blind battle as Rolli led out for 15,000 on Q?K?7?. Alioto then raised to 74,000.
Tournament officials announced that play was going hand-for-hand as Rolli continued to tank. "Even worse," he said.
"This wasn't a bubble play," Alioto said.
"I would never think of folding here if it wasn't the bubble," Rolli said, eventually mucking A?K?Q?J?. Alioto showed him K?Q? as he took the pot.
