Virgile Turchi Eliminated in 12th Place (€7,025)

Level 27 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Daniel Koloszar bet 100,000 from the cutoff and was met with a shove from Virgile Turchi on the button for 575,000. Rafi Elharar went into deep thought in the small blind and elected to shove, covering both Turchi and Koloszar.

Koloszar looked frustrated and folded A?J? face up to allow the other two to go to showdown.

Virgile Turchi: K?Q?
Rafi Elharar: 9?9?

It was a flip to decide Turchi's fate, but the board of 10?10?8?10?4? gave Elharar a boat and sent Turchi sailing to the paycage.

No River Call for Marjanovic

Level 27 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Adem Marjanovic min-raised to 100,000 first to act and Tobias Peters defended his big blind. Peters subsequently check-called bets of 60,000 on the J?7?5? flop and 100,000 on the 4? turn.

Peters also checked the 8? river and Marjanovic now made it 200,000 to go, which then forced a fold from the Dutchman.

David Boyaciyan raised to 100,000 from under the gun and Adem Marjanovic called on the button.

"Round two," the Dutchman joked and Marjanovic replied "or round seven ..." with a grin on the face.

The flop came Q?7?6? and Boyaciyan continued for 100,000, Marjanovic stuck around.

With the 2? turn came a second barrel for 225,000 by Boyaciyan and a call by Marjanovic.

Fast forward to the K? river, Boyaciyan bet 525,000 to get called by his opponent and tabled the K?Q?. Marjanovic had that beat with the 7?7? and restored his top spot by some margin.

Level 27 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Shahram "Shawn" Sheikhan, who pled guilty in 2022 to conspiracy to distribute marijuana, a federal crime, was sentenced to four years in federal prison on Friday morning in the United States District Court Southern District of California.

The veteran poker player who infamously feuded with Mike Matusow during the 2005 World Series of Poker (WSOP) television broadcast, had faced a maximum sentence of 40 years in federal prison and a $5 million fine.

Last month, his attorneys filed a memorandum with the court asking for prison time to be replaced with probation and community service. Poker Hall of Famer and PokerGO President Mori Eskandani, among others, wrote a letter of support on his behalf.
