Martin Kabrhel opened to 60,000 from middle position before Stephen Chidwick moved all in for his stack of 510,000 on the button. Ren Lin called in the small blind, while Kabrhel got out of the way.
Stephen Chidwick: A?J?
Ren Lin: 10?10?
Lin's pocket pair remained ahead on the 7?5?8?9?9? runout to send Chidwick to the rail.
Daniel Rezaei, Wing Po Liu, Giuliano Bendinelli and Jens Lakemeier were also eliminated at nearby tables.
Daniel Dvoress raised from early position before Patrik Jaros made it 150,000 to go from the button. Quan Zhou then came in with a cold four-bet to 400,000 from the small blind before the action was back on Dvoress.
He decided to jam all in for 1,675,000, being covered by Jaros, but covering Zhou. Jaros spent a few minutes in the tank before slamming in the call, after which Zhou open-folded his J?J?.
Daniel Dvoress: K?K?
Patrik Jaros: Q?Q?
Dvoress' higher pocket pair held on the 2?5?9?A?5? runout and he received a huge double-up, seeing him elevated to the biggest stack in the room.
Viktor Blom, Leonard Maue, and Niklas Astedt had gotten all of their chips in preflop. Blom was the one with the shortest stack, while Maue played the starting stack of 500,000 and Astedt covered them both.
Viktor Blom: A?K?
Leonard Maue: A?A?
Niklas Astedt: K?K?
Astedt claimed he liked his chances, but the final king did not show itself on the 10?2?7?3?Q? runout. Maue's aces held without a sweat, and he tripled up while Blom headed for an early exit.
On another table, Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier was also eliminated.
