Hissou Check-Raises in Four-Bet Pot

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Sirzat Hissou
Sirzat Hissou

Sirzat Hissou had opened from middle position when Farid Jattin three-bet to 14,000 in the cutoff. The action folded back to Hissou, who piled in 37,000 for a reraise.

Jattin eventually called, after which Hissou checked the 4?10?A? flop. Jattin tossed in a bet of 20,000, which Hissou raised to 67,000.

Jattin spent some more time in the tank before settling on a fold. Hissou took the pot uncontested and his stack grew back to what he started the day with.

Mateusz Moolhuizen
Mateusz Moolhuizen

Mateusz Moolhuizen was being pushed the last of Andreas Krause's chips in a total pot worth around 120,000.

Krause was all in from early position with A?A? on a board of 8?4?2?6?J?, but Moolhuizen had 4?4? from the button for a set of fours to win the pot and send Krause to the rail.

Jungevicius Runs Queens into Angelov's Aces

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Boris Angelov
Boris Angelov

Quang Tay Dinh opened to 4,000 from middle position and Boris Angelov three-bet the button to 11,000. Kestutis Jungevicius then four-bet the big blind to 50,000, which got Dinh to fold. Angelov shoved for 184,000, and Jungevicius called.

Boris Angelov: A?A? All in
Kestutis Jungevicius: Q?Q?

Jungevicius had run right into it, but there was still a board to sweat to try and crack the aces.

It didn't look good for Jungevicius on the 8?5?9? flop but he did pick up a few more outs on the 10? turn as he improved to a straight draw. However, the 9? river was no help, and Angelov doubled up.

State Makes the Right Call, Doubles Up

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Adrian State
Adrian State

Memik Sezer raised from the cutoff to 4,500 and got called by Timur Margolin on the button, Wouter Beltz in the small blind, & Adrian State from the big blind.

On the flop of 7?4?8?, Beltz checked and State led out for 4,000. Sezer folded, Margolin called, and Beltz got out of the way.

A 9? hit the turn and after State checked, Margolin shoved. State had around 40,000 remaining in his stack and took around two minutes before he finally decided to commit them all to the pot, which left him at risk.

Adrian State: 10?8? All in
Timur Margolin: A?10?

Both players had straight draws but State's pair had him in the lead, one that he would keep as the 7? river didn't change anything.

Pastore Makes Best Check-Back of His Life

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Jonathan Pastore
Jonathan Pastore

Arriving on a flop of 9?8?5?, the action checked to Jonathan Pastore in a modest pot of 16,500. He bet 4,000 from the hijack, after which Erik van Hulst made it 11,000 in the big blind.

Not enough for Nolan Curatolo, who three-bet to 27,000. Pastore called before Van Hulst got out of the way. The J? saw Curatolo slow down as he checked to Pastore. Pastore bet 25,000 and Curatolo called after a minute or two.

The 3? river was also checked to Pastore. "This might be the worst check-back of my life," Pastore said as he knuckled the table.

Curatolo tabled 10?7? for a turned straight. "Maybe not," Pastore concluded as he mucked his cards.

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Niklas Aastedt
Niklas Aastedt

Belarmino De Souza raised to 4,000 from middle position before Cecile Ticherfatine three-bet to 14,000 from the cutoff. Niklas Astedt then four-bet out of the small blind to 30,000. De Souza folded, but Ticherfatine five-bet to 55,000. Astedt called, leaving himself with roughly 50,000 behind.

With over 115,000 in the pot, Astedt check-called a bet of 14,000 from Ticherfatine on the A?9?3? flop.

When the 7? came on the turn, Astedt led all-in for 35,000 and Ticherfatine reluctantly called.

Niklas Astedt: A?K? All in
Cecile Ticherfatine: K?K?

Astedt had spiked an ace on the flop to leave Ticherfatine with one out available to bust him. The 7? fell on the river and Astedt had doubled through Ticherfatine.
