Tatavarti Triples Up But Has to Wait For Full Payment, Speranzoni Busts
Giridhar Tatavarti was already all in for his stack of 330,000 and both Stefan Frei & Alberto Speranzoni had committed their stacks to the pot, with Frei looking for a double knockout.
Alberto Speranzoni: A?K?
Giridhar Tatavarti: 10?5?
Stefan Frei: A?K?
Speranzoni had the slightly smaller stack of around 300,000 but shared the same hand as Frei, which put Tatavarti in a good position to triple up.
The runout of 5?J?7?6?8? did give Tatavarti a pair of fives to scoop the pot, which sent Speranzoni to the rail in the process.
After the chips were counted out, Tatavarti realized he was missing around 100,000 chips and play had to be paused while the floor got to the bottom of where the missing chips were. Andreas Krause was discussing with the floor about the situation and angrily walked away from the table at the end of it.
"I think he is forfeiting his chips," joked Tatavarti.
Eventually, the floor returned and said that the missing 100,000 was currently in Frei's stack, and he was forced to cough up the chips and send them across the table to Tatavarti.
