Straight Surprise Sends Ilani to the Rail

Level 11 : Blinds 800/1,600, 1,600 ante
Patrick Baranyai
Patrick Baranyai

With 27,900 already sitting in the pot and the board showing 7?4?10?6?, Ran Ilani decided to check to Patrick Baranyai. Seizing the moment, Baranyai fired out a bet of 13,000, but Ilani wasn’t going anywhere—he went all-in. After asking the dealer to count his stack, which came to 40,900, Baranyai eventually made the call, and it was time to showdown.

Ilani proudly showed his Q?Q?, thinking he had a solid top pair, but Baranyai turned over 4?3?, revealing he had a pair of fours and a gutshot straight draw. He needed a three, four, or five to pull ahead.

As the dealer flipped over the river card, a 5? popped up, giving Baranyai the straight he needed! Ilani was left stunned, realizing he had just been knocked out of the tournament. Shaking his head in disbelief, he walked away from the table, still processing what had just happened.

Moolhuizen Makes More: Two Big Pots, No Problem

Level 10 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Mateusz Moolhuizen
Mateusz Moolhuizen

With 23,000 already in the pot and the board showing K?Q?J?3?, Mateusz Moolhuizen decided to check-call Ilija Savevski’s bet of 11,500 after giving it some thought.

When the 9? hit the river, Moolhuizen took charge and fired out a hefty bet of 41,000. Savevski went into the tank for a while but eventually folded.

In the very next hand, Moolhuizen was back at it again. This time, there was about 18,000 in the pot with a flop of 7?8?5?. Alf Martinsson checked to him, and Moolhuizen made it 14,000. Martinsson called, and they both checked the 6? turn.

When the river brought the 10?, Martinsson checked again. Moolhuizen went all-in, putting Martinsson in a tough spot. After three long minutes of thinking, someone finally called for the clock, and the floor counted him down. Ultimately, Martinsson had no choice but to fold, as Moolhuizen kept applying the pressure and racked up another big pot.

Betrix's Aces Prevail as Hallabro's Queens Fall Short

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Manoe Betrix
Manoe Betrix

Manoe Betrix, seated under the gun, opened the action with a raise to 2,400, only to face a three-bet from Marcus Hallabro, who pushed it up to 10,000. After a moment's reflection, Betrix decided to call.

On the flop of 6?10?7?, Hallabro checked, and Betrix seized the opportunity to bet 16,000. Hallabro went deep into the tank before ultimately deciding to go all-in. Betrix snap-called, revealing A?A?. Hallabro showed Q?Q?, holding a decent pair of queens but needing some help from the turn and river to turn the tide.

The dealer turned over the J? and 9?, but there was no miracle for Hallabro, allowing Betrix to secure another double-up.

Savinelli Stacked, Floor and Tournament Director Called

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Patrick Baranyai
Patrick Baranyai

Carlo Savinelli opened from the cutoff to 2,500. Stephen Nahm reraised to 7,000 from the button. Patrick Baranyai called in the small blind.

Both Baranyal and Savinelli checked to Nahm who bet 14,000 on the 9?7?5? flop. Both Baranyal and Savinelli called. They both checked again to Nahm who sized up to 55,000 on the J? turn. Baranyal then moved all in for 109,000.

Savinelli went deep into the tank. Three minutes elapsed before the clock was called on him and a member of floor staff came over to mediate the situation. He was even given longer than the usual allotted 30 seconds.

After another few minutes go by, some of his tablemates suggested he had had enough time. Savinelli then requested to speak to the tournament director. He came over and the situation was explained to him. He gave Savinelli 30 seconds to act. Seconds go by and he makes the call, as does Nahm, who had both players covered.

Carlo Savinelli: J?9?All in
Patrick Baranyai: 7?7?All in
Stephen Nahm: Q?Q?

The 6? river meant Baranyal scooped a sizable pot and Savinelli was sent to the rail in what could have been the longest running hand of play today in this tournament.

Runcan Eliminated After Losing Two All In's

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Glib Karpov moved all in from the button for 14,100. Paul Runcan called in the big blind and had Karpov covered.

Glib Karpov: A?7?
Paul Runcan: A?K?

Runcan's Big Slick couldn't hold across the 6?6?7?2?9? runout and Karpov secured a double up.

In the next hand, Yohay Bullkich opened from under the gun to 2,200. Daniel Lakerveld called on the button before Runcan moved all in from the big blind for 18,500. Bullkich then reraised all in to isolate Runcan's stack. Lakerveld then moved all in for 55,200. He had Runcan covered but not Bullkich.

Paul Runcan: K?Q? All in
Daniel Lakerveld: J?J?All in
Yohay Bullkich: 9?9?

Lakerveld's jacks held over the A?8?10?4?5? to more than double up and send Runcan to the rail.

Dufouleur Dances Out as Jobin’s Aces Take Center Stage

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
Lois Dufouleur
Lois Dufouleur

With around 10,000 already in the pot and the board showing 7?6?3?, Lois Dufouleur checked to Yannick Jobin, who placed a bet of 2,700. After some consideration, Dufouleur decided to go all-in, and Jobin quickly snap-called after glancing at his cards.

Dufouleur revealed 10?10?, but he was behind Jobin‘s A?A?. The J? on the turn didn’t change the situation, and although the A? on the river gave Jobin a nice set, he had already secured the win and eliminated Dufouleur from the tournament.

Nezer led for 2,500 on the Q?Q?7? flop, which Progner called. Nezer led again on the A? turn, this time sizing up to 9,500. Progner made the call once again.

On the Q? river, Nezer moved all in and had Progner covered. Progner snap-called and showed Q?4? for quads. Unamused, Nezer stood up from the table, turned the final queen over before showing A?A? for top boat.

He cut out the 15,800 he owed Progner and retook his seat at the table.

Paduano Doubles Up Thanks to Margolin's Misclick

Level 5 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante
Arturo Paduano
Arturo Paduano

Adrian State kicked off the action with a minimum raise, prompting Timur Margolin in the small blind to make it a three-bet to 20,500. State stood up to get a closer look at the situation. Meanwhile, Arturo Paduano in the big blind decided to go all-in.

State turned to Margolin and asked, “Was it a misclick?” before folding his hand. With the action back to Margolin, he explained that he had mixed up the colors and actually intended to raise to just 4,500 instead of 20,500. After some consideration, he decided to call Paduano’s all-in, leading to a showdown.

Arturo Paduano: A?J?All in
Timur Margolin: 8?7?

When the flop came down A?9?7?, Paduano scoffed, clearly unhappy with the board despite being ahead with a pair of aces. The 4? turn and 2? river didn’t change the situation, and Paduano managed to double up, benefiting from Margolin's mistake.
