Lone Ranger

I bring you exciting news on the layout:

With no other event playing simultaneously, the £1,000 is the lone ranger today here in the Empire, and so has been subjected to a slight change in layout.

Instead of the usual 12 tables upstairs, there are now just 9, those other 3 being relocated downstairs to where the latter stages of the Omaha event had previously played out.

Meanwhile, the plan is to break the Shadow Room first, and gradually whittle our way down to the bottom floor.

See, I told you it was exciting.

Last Chance Saloon

It's day 1c of the £1,000 event here on a brisk Sunday morning, the last of our three start days for this event and another expected three-figure turnout in the hopes of winning the bracelet that JP Kelly took home last year.

Don't be expecting too many online players to be involved today though with all of Sunday's big online tournaments set to take place later this afternoon. This might open a few gaps for a few of the more wily players who have banked on a today's field being slightly softer for just this reason.

Once again the players will be starting with just 3,000 chips and an expected neverending cry of "Player down!" from our numerous Empire Casino dealers.

Play will be starting in just over 25 minutes and given that there is no other tournament now being run, the tables will most likely be breaking from high to low, literally too as it appears the Shadow room will be the first place to be broken today.
