Akenhead Survives

Four limpers preflop was enough to encourage James Akenhead to move all in from the big blind with {K-Clubs}{10-Hearts} for 2,675. However, it would appear as though his reputation precedes him as he received two callers: the cut-off with {5-Clubs}{5-Hearts} and the button, who was now all in for 1,400, with {10-Spades}{9-Diamonds}.

The {2-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} flop favoured the 2009 November Niner, but the {J-Hearts} turn delivered a straight to the short stack. A {2-Diamonds} river later and, despite the dealer pushing the entire pot to Akenhead, the small blind took the main and Akenhead scooped the side.

A quick recount of the chips, and Akenhead recovered approximately what he started the hand with.
