Hands #6-8: Last Three Hands of Level 29

Level 29 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Hand #6: Julian Milliard-Feral raised to 250,000 from the hijack and Joe Kuether defended his big blind to see a flop of {6-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}.

Kuether check-called a bet of 280,000 and then both players checked the {8-Spades} turn. When the {10-Diamonds} completed the board on the river, Kuether checked for a third time and folded when Milliard-Feral bet 900,000.

Hand #7: Salim Admon raised to 240,000 from the cutoff and Toby Lewis responded with a three-bet to 600,000 from the button. Both blinds folded and Admon did the same.

Hand #8: Lewis raised to 250,000 from the cutoff and then folded when Lion Yiming Lee moved all in from the small blind.

That brought about the end of the level, which meant players have been sent on a 10-minute break. During this time the tournament staff will be coloring up some chips. Stay tuned for updated counts.

Hands 1-5: Maguire, Milliard-Feral and Lewis Active

Level 29 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Hand #1: From the small blind, Philip Shing limped. Clayon Maguire raised to 320,000 from the big blind and Shing called.
The flop came the {3-Clubs}{8-Spades}{a-Clubs}. Both players checked it to the turn which was the {k-Spades} prompting two more checks. The river was the {5-Spades}. Shing led out with a bet of 230,000 and was called by Maguire.

Shing showed the {k-Clubs}{9-Spades} for second pair which was no good vs the {a-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} top pair of Maguire as he took the first pot of the table.

Hand #2: Maguire limped from the small blind, Julian Milliard-Feral checked his option. The flop came the {q-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}. Maguire led with 225,000 and was called. The turn {4-Spades} and river {10-Clubs} were both checked down and Maguire took another pot as his {5-Spades}{2-Diamonds} was good over the {k-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} of Milliard-Feral.

Hand #3: From the cutoff, Shing raised to 240,000. Maguire three-bet to 625,000 on the button. It folded around and Shing gave it up.

Hand #4: Toby Lewis raised under the gun to 250,000. Milliard-Feral called and the blinds folded. The flop was the {2-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{k-Spades}. Lewis led for 250,000 and was called. The turn was the {10-Clubs}. Lewis fired again, this time for 850,000.

Milliard-Feral waited a while and raised to 2,000,000 prompting a swift fold from Lewis.

Hand #5: It folded to the small blind, where Salim Admon raised to 420,000. Lewis called. {q-Hearts}{9-Spades}{8-Hearts} came the flop. Admon check-called a bet of 500,000. The turn was the {j-Hearts}. Admon checked and Lewis bet again for 750,000 which got a fold.

The table promises to include some interesting play as no player has fewer than 20 big blinds, so there is still plenty of time and room for each player to make a run at the grand prize of $2,018,866. Second place will also be worth over a million and each place increases significantly in prize money, meaning that each hand could be critical.

Seat 1: Toby Lewis (4,980,000)

Toby Lewis

Arguably the most experienced player at the Wynn Millions final table is the UK’s Toby Lewis, who according to The Hendon Mob has $6,541,365 in lifetime earnings dating back to 2009. That currently puts him seventh on the UK’s all-time poker money list.

Lewis, who is known as “810ofclubs” online, broke onto the poker scene back in 2010 when he took down the European Poker Tour (EPT) Vilamoura Main Event for $594,568. While that score was his biggest up to that point, he has broken it twice since.

First, in January 2018 he won the Aussie Millions Poker Championship for a career-high $1,178,513. A month later, he finished runner-up to Dennis Blieden in the $10,000 WPT L.A. Poker Classic for $600,630.

Other highlights on his poker résumé include winning the 2019 Aussie Million A$50,000 High Roller for $587,936, which came two days after he finished runner-up in the Aussie Millions A$25,000 High Roller for $555,107.

Lewis begins the Wynn Millions final table fifth in chips, and if he plays his cards right he could very well notch a new career-best score.

Seat 2: Joe Kuether (4,420,000)

Joe Kuether
Joe Kuether

No one at the final table has won more playing poker than Joe Kuether, who according to The Hendon Mob has amassed just over $7 million in lifetime earnings dating back to 2009.

Kuether began Day 5 on the shorter side of things but used his experience to maneuver his way to the final table where he sits sixth in chips.

Originally from Wisconsin, Kuether has one seven-figure score on his poker résumé when he finished in second place in the 2015 PCA $25K High Roller for $1,050,000. His second-largest cash of $424,044 came when he placed fifth in the 2014 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open $5,300 Main Event.

Other big scores are $262,994 for finishing third in the 2015 WPT Borgata Championship and $246,161 for winning the 2013 Arizona State Poker Championship.

Kuether has plenty of wins to his credit, including the 2012 WSOP Circuit San Diego Main Event for $111,104 and one of his three gold rings. However, Kuether is still looking for that one big signature win, and the Wynn Millions could very well be it.
