Terry Fleischer Leads 171 Players into Day 2 of the Wynn Spring Classic $1 Million Guarantee
Welcome to the Wynn Las Vegas for Day 2 of the $1,600 buy-in Wynn Spring Classic $1 million guarantee.
Following three starting flights that attracted a total of 687 entrants, just 171 players survived into Day 2. Day 1A saw 30 players survive from the 113-entrant flight, while Day 1B saw 57 players survive from the 225-entrants. On Day 1C, a total of 349 entrants would see just 84 players survive the final flight as the 687-entrant field created a prize pool of $1 million.
With 171 players returning for action, all eyes will be on firstly reaching the money as the top 71 players will finish in-the-money with a guaranteed $3,760 in prize money. Reaching the final table of nine players will ensure players of $19,062 in prize money, while topping the field will the eventual winner the $189,485 first-place prize and the Wynn Spring Classic trophy.
The player best-positioned to make a run at the first-place prize is overall chip leader Terry Fleischer who finished with 400,000 chips on Day 1B.
The Las Vegas resident has amassed over $1.93 million in lifetime tournament earnings with tournament results dating back to 2001. Fleischer has collected 32 victories in his career - four of these being for six-figure scores. Fleischer’s best result is amazingly in this very event last year when he defeated the 982-entrant field to capture the $184,376 first-place prize.
The remaining 171 players will be kicking the action off with blinds at 1,000-2,000 and a 2,000-big blind ante. Day 2 calls for ten 60-minute levels before play concludes for the night.
