Artem Kobylynskyi Bags Chip Lead In Final Flight of Wynn Millions Main Event
The third and final flight of the $3,500 Wynn Millions Championship in Las Vegas wrapped up after ten levels of play and saw Artem Kobylynskyi bagging the chip lead with a stack of 484,500. He will join Day 1a and Day 1b chip leaders Mitchell Halverson and Fikret Kovac on Day 2 on Sunday, March 10 for a chance to cash in one of poker's most popular events.
Also among the 147 players who found bags at the end of Day 1c were Daniel Sepiol, Jordan Spurlin, Jason Wheeler, Jason Dewitt, reigning Mid-Major Player of the Year Nick Pupillo and WSOP Main Event champion Joe McKeehen.
Day 1c Action
Day 1c of the Wynn Millions Championship made for the biggest flight of them all with 541 runners, beating out the 403 entrants on Day 1b and the 236 entrants on Day 1a. That included several new faces, including
Steven "Cuz" Buckner, Benny Glaser, Donnie Peters, Kathy Liebert, Tony Tran and John Morgan, as well as several seeking redemption after failing to bag the previous flights, like Bill Klein, Ryan Laplante, Jonathan Little and Samuel Laskowitz.
Another player back in the mix was Jeremy Becker, whose Day 1b came crumbling down after a failed bluff attempt against Julien Martini. The Wynn daily crusher had better luck this time around and managed to bag a decent stack on his home court.
Other highlights from the day include Mike Vela getting raised with a full house, Mehdi Anooshahr going runner-runner to knock out an opponent, and Bill Klein telling his opponent that nobody liked him.
Mitch Garshofsky also had a better go at things after getting one-outed yesterday in brutal fashion. Day 1c was kinder for the three-time Circuit ring winner as he made it to bagging time.
Day 2 will get underway on Sunday, March 10 at noon local time and action will kick off on Level 11 with blinds of 1,500/2,500/2,500. Levels will stay 60 minutes in duration but are set to increase to 90 minutes starting on Day 3.
There are still several more days left to play out before a winner is crowned on Wednesday, March 13.
