What To Expect From This Weekend's Run It Up Resorts Rumble in New Jersey
This weekend, PokerStars New Jersey and its land-based partner Resorts Casino Hotel will be hosting the Run It Up Resorts Rumble in Atlantic City.
The event is deemed a special "onlive" event that marries in-person social aspects of poker with a couple of online events on PokerStars New Jersey. It will take place Saturday, May 14 and include appearances from PokerStars team pros Chris Moneymaker, Barry Greenstein, Vanessa Selbst, and Liv Boeree, Jen Shahade, and Run It Up founder Jason Somerville.
The festivities will kick off on Saturday with registration opening at 9 a.m. ET at Resorts Casino Hotel. Then at 9:45 a.m., breakfast will begin. There is a tentatively scheduled speech from Somerville to take place after breakfast begins, and then the Run It Up Resorts Rumble "online" event will kick off at 11 a.m.
The Run It Up Resorts Rumble "online" event is a $30 buy-in no-limit hold'em tournament will be accessible only to those attending the Run It Up Resorts Rumble in person. But, not everyone will be shut out of the fun. At 11:30 a.m. there will be an online tournament on PokerStars New Jersey that costs $10 to buy into and will be open to participants statewide.
Poker isn't the only thing on the schedule, and there are plenty of fun activities planned throughout the day, including a cornhole competition hosted by Boeree at 12 p.m. At 1:45 p.m., lunch will be served, and that will be followed by a questions-and-answers session also hosted by Boeree.
At 3 p.m., the final table of the Run It Up Resorts Rumble will take place alongside chess playing from Shahade. Then at 4 p.m., there will be another questions-and-answers session, this time hosted by Moneymaker, Greenstein, and Selbst, followed by on hosted by Somerville at 5 p.m.
Last, but certainly not least, at 7:30 p.m. there will be a special VIP Club Live party at LandShark Bar & Grill, which is next to the Resorts property.
For those who are unable to attend, there will be streaming of various parts of the event on Run It Up and Somerville will be streaming the tournament live on Twitch.
