7 | G0DplzH3lpMe | Malta | $4,481 + $6,001 in bounties |
According to the PokerStars Blog, the final table began after Malta's "G0DplzH3lpMe" eliminated Canada's "Sexy Bieber" in eighth place when his pocket kings held against ace-ten.
Austria's "Hans-j?rg029", who won a SCOOP event in 2012, entered the final table with the chip lead with Ferreira and Ferreira Souza not far behind in the chip count.
"G0DplzH3lpMe" was the first player eliminated in seventh place for $10,483 ($4,481 + $6,001 in bounties) after he three-bet shoved his short-stack with ace-four and was unable to hold against Ferriera's jack-two suited.
"Hans-j?rg029", who wound up giving up much of his stack, was the next to go in sixth place for $10,281 ($6,431 + $3,850 in bounties) when he shoved king-jack and didn't get there against "THE ONLY SON" who held pocket queens.
Fierra had the chip lead with the tournament down to five players and extended it to own half the chips in play after he eliminated Michael "blazinchron" Bailey when his ace-jack got there against pocket sixes. Bailey, who chopped the Sunday Million in 2016, collected $14,581 ($9,230 + $5,351 in bounties) for his fifth-place performance.
Malta's "B1GL1P$$$" then bowed out in fourth place for $14,294 ($13,247 + $1,047 in bounties) after his ace-ten suited didn't hold against Ferreira Souza's jack-ten suited after a jack spiked the flop.
At this point, it was only Brazilians remaining in the field. Fierra lost a good amount of his stack and "THE ONLY SON" held the chip lead with Fierra Souza not too far behind.
Three hands into three-handed play, "THE ONLY SON" three-bet shoved with pocket sixes and his hand held against the ace-jack held by Fierra to send him on the rail in third place.
"THE ONLY SON" entered heads up play with a 3:2 chip advantage and extended it to a 2:1 advantage before the final hand took place. "THE ONLY SON" three-bet shoved holding queen-jack for top-pair on a queen-six-four board and was called by Fierra Souza who held seven-six for middle-pair. The turn and river were blanks to give "THE ONLY SON" the title.
