William Twooopair Reymond (lead image) has won the WSOP.com online event and the first online bracelet of 2018. He took down Event #10: $365 WSOP.com ONLINE No-Limit Holdem for $154,996.

The tournament experienced some connectivity issues early on but still attracted a field of 2,972 entries, making it the biggest online tournament ever held in Nevada. A total of 333 players cashed for a share of the $974,816 prize pool, but it was the final table where the majority of the money was won, as well as the hallowed WSOP gold bracelet.

The nine players at the final table all came from the United States, and they battled it out until 3:50 a.m. It was Reymond who eventually beat Shawn sHaDySTeeM Stroke and won the event for $154,996 and a gold WSOP bracelet.

4Ryan LoveMy11Cats BelzUnited States$50,593
5Elliott Ekampen05 KampenUnited States$37,530
6Josh YoelRomero KingUnited States$27,977
7Anthony nowb3athat SpinellaUnited States$21,251
8Michael myapologies HauptmanUnited States$16,279
9Jennifer moistymire MillerUnited States$12,478

Jennifer moistymire Miller was the first player to be eliminated at the final table. She was already fairly short when the final table started, and in one of the first hands, she jammed king-ten suited into the ace-king of chip leader Ryan LoveMy11Cats Belz. The board ran out clean, and there was nothing moistymire could do.

Michael myapologies Hauptman was next to be sent to the rail. In the end, he couldnt win a flip with pocket eights against the ace-jack of Elliott Ekampen05 Kampen. The board gave both players a full house, but with the jack on the turn, myapologies was sent to the rail in eighth place.

The third player to leave the final table was Anthony nowb3athat Spinella. Spinella, who won the first online bracelet event in 2015 and first online WSOP Circuit Ring event earlier this year, ended up running pocket jacks into pocket aces of Stephen SteveSpuell Buell.

The player eliminated in sixth place was Josh YoelRomero King. After picking out an unfortunate time to push all-in, he wasn't able to hit with king-ten against the ace-queen of Shawn sHaDySTeeM Stroke. The virtual dealer dealt a queen on the turn, and YoelRomero' didnt manage to hit a king on the river to save himself from elimination.

Five-handed play went on for a while, and the short stacks managed to double up seven times. It was eventually Elliott Ekampen05 Kampen that got sent to the rail in fifth place with a bad beat, his pocket jacks losing out to the ace-ten suited of Belz.

While Ryan LoveMy11Cats Belz was the player who sent Ekampen05 to the rail, he was sent home the exact same way a couple of hands later. Belz couldnt win with pocket jacks against the ace-ten of hearts of Reymond who made just a single higher pair to take play three-handed.

Three-handed play didnt last very long. In what you might call a set-up, there was a classic race between Stephen SteveSpuell Buell holding ace-king and the pocket queens of Reymond. The board ran out with two pair (nines and fours), meaning the pocket queens won the hand with nines and queens. Buell hit the virtual rail, narrowly missing out on the heads-up and his shot at WSOP gold.

The heads-up battle wouldnt take too long as William Twooopair Reymond held a 7:2 lead, with Shawn sHaDySTeeM Stroke only having 20 big blinds. After a couple of minutes, the two got the chips in with sHaDySTeeM holding king-three of spades and Twooopair holding ten-nine of diamonds. Twooopair flopped three of a kind and the board bricked out.

William Twooopair Reymond took down the first online bracelet event of the series, together with the first place prize of $154,996 and the WSOP gold bracelet.
