US Online Sunday Briefing: Ryan Hohner Wins Winter Series Main Event
It was another huge weekend at American-regulated online poker rooms with the Winter Series wrapping up at PokerStars NJ and the New Year Kick-off Series beginning at WSOP.com.
Ryan "ISlowRollYou" Hohner won the Winter Series Main Event for $18,252 but wasn't the biggest winner of the weekend. That honor went to "Acesrkings" who shipped the New Year Kick-off Series #1 - $100,000 NLH Sunday Special for $28,861.

After nearly eight hours of play, Sridhar "sri50k" Sangannagari won the event for $6,413 after defeating Daniel "RedsoxNets5" Sewnig in heads-up play. Sewnig walked away with $3,741 for his runner-up effort.
The remainder of the final table was full of recognizable players including Richard "Yournotsure" Halford (fifth - $1,425), Mark "freezer" Johns (sixth - $1,188), Jamie "mooseman1710" Reyes (seventh - $903) and Daniel "iGetLost" Dizenzo (eighth - $570).
