Eelis Parssinen and Wei Zhao Shine at GGPoker

Sunday are traditionally the busiest day of the week for online poker tournament grinders and Finland��s Eelis Parsinnen was certainly busy, winning three events at GGPoker!

Wei Zhao was another serial winner. He triumphed in two GGPoker events, finished second in another and reached the final table of a fourth!

WSOPC Series: $1,050 High Rollers Main Event

One of Parssinen��s victory came in the WSOPC Series: $1,050 High Rollers Main Event where 666 players created a $666,000 prize pool.

All nine finalists walked away with a five-figure prize. Thomas Muehloecker was the first finalist to bust. Muehloecker��s ninth-place exit resulted in a $12,186 score.

��Drsaplumbr�� and former WSOP Main Event champion Ryan Riess were the next out of the door, before Ireland��s ��Kenniro�� and Timothy Cramer of Canada fell by the wayside. Cramer��s fellow Canadian Farid Jattin busted in fourth for $46,493. The three surviving players struck a deal before playing out for the title.

��Graf Tekkel�� crashed out in third and won $84,905, which was the largest prize of the tournament. Parssinen then busted ��kimokh�� when heads-up to claim the title and pad his bankroll with $79,118, leaving his Hungarian opponent to walk away with $79,999.

High Rollers Blade Opener $5,250

The High Rollers Blade Opener $5,250 only attracted 40 players but those players were some of the best in the world. The compact field meant only the top five finishers received a slice of the $200,000 prize pool and it was Joaquim Andersson who won the first slice of the pie, namely $20,735.

Elio Fox finished in fourth for $27,650 with Bert Stevens running out of steam in third-place, a finish worth $36,872. Heads-up pitted Parssinen against Marius Gierse and the duo struck a deal. Parssinen got his hands on all the chips in play and won $59,484 with Gierse scooping $55,526.

WSOPC High Rollers: $3,150 Blade Bounty King

Victory in the WSOPC High Rollers: $3,150 Blade Bounty King completed Parssinen��s hat trick. The flying Finn outlasted 85 opponents and got his hands on the lion��s ahare of the $258,000 prize pool.

Parsinnen��s victory weighed in at an impressive $75,046 with more than $53,000 of that prize stemming from bounty payments. Others who reached the final table but fell by the wayside included Bert Stevens, Andras Nemeth, Wei Zhao, Aleksei Barkov, and runner-up ��Norweg1anB4nk��.

Schemion Excels in the PokerStars Blowout Series

Ole Schemion secured a Blowout Series title on January 10 when he came out on top in the $215 NLHE 6-Max Freezeout. The six-handed final table was a star-studded affair as you��d expect from such a prestigious event.

��AzizMancha�� was the first star to bust and was the only finalist not to bank a five-figure prize, $9,100. British pro Andy ��wiisssppppaa�� Taylor fell in fifth for $13,061 before Brazil��s ��Eduardo850�� saw their tournament end in fourth-place, a finish worth $18,745.

Third-place and $26,903 went to Slovenian ��marjan1231�� which left Schemion heads-up against another Brazilian in the shape of Ricardo ��rickyibrah45�� Rocha. Schemion swept aside his final opponents and locked up $55,417, leaving the runner-up to collect $38,612.

Blowout Series 54-M: $1,050 NLHE 8-Max Final Table Results

There was almost a second Blowout Series title for Schemion but he fell agonisingly short. Schemion had to make do with a runner-up finish in the $1,050 NLHE 8-Max event, another excellent result and one that saw Schemion��s bankroll swell by $63,492.

Only Erwin ��Erdawi98�� Wiechers of Netherlands outlasted Schemion. His victory saw the Dutch star reel in a cool $85,785. Winning an event of this calibre is impressive enough but having contended with the likes of Preben ��prebz�� Stokkan, Tyler ��wonderboy222�� Goatcher, and, of course, Schemion makes it all the more sweeter.

Over at 888poker, the United Kingdom��s ��Gnacik�� walked away with the site��s largest prize courtesy of taking down the $100,000 Sunday Mega Deep. Their first place finish saw their $109 investment swell to $19,139. Two other players turned their buy-in into a five-figure prize. Runner-up ��AVR26�� netted $13,663 with third-place finisher ��M0ndicHT�� collecting $10,325 for their third-place exit.

There were no five-figure prizes in the $30,000 Sunday Challenge PKO but Sweden��s ��barfly7777�� did scoop $7,307 with bounties included. This was more than twice the size of the $3,503 runner-up ��justenufrope�� netted.

Viktor Ustimov Wins the partypoker High Roller Big Game

Viktor Ustimov is almost $85,000 richer today after the Russian won the latest $2,600 buy-in High Roller Big Game. This is partypoker��s highest buy-in weekly tournament and it��s always jam packed full of talent. Just look at the final table finishing positions below.

Even when Christian Rudolph, Leonidas Kostagiolas and Steve O��Dwyer had busted, Wiktor Malinowski, Stephen Chidwick and Conor Beresford still remained. When they crashed out, Team partypoker pro Joni Jouhkimainen fell in third, leaving Ustimov and Enrico Camosci heads-up. Ustimov sent his final opponent packing and became the High Roller Big Game champion.

David Carrasco Crushes The Big Game

The $530 Big Game was also a star-studded affair. Such luminaries as Pascal Hartmann, Michael Tureniec, and Pavel Plesuv reached the final table but coulnd��t quite get the job done, the latter busting in sixth for $7,004.

David Carrasco of Croatia eventually found himself heads-up against British star Tyler Goatcher and he got his hands on the $39,512 top prize, resigning Goatcher to a $27,383 consolation prize.
