PokerStars, during a press conference at Resorts World Las Vegas on Thursday, revealed two new brand ambassadors, both with impeccable reputations within the poker community — Caitlin Comeskey and Jason Koon.

The newest Team Pro members for the most prominent brand in online poker history come from different backgrounds and have different roles within the industry. Koon is a high-stakes legend, arguably the top tournament player in the world. Comeskey is a low-stakes player known for her comedic light-hearted poker player parody videos. She captured the Best Short-Form Content Creator award at the 2023 Global Poker Awards.

PokerNews spoke with the recently hired ambassadors following the press conference during the PokerStars North American Poker Tour (NAPT) Las Vegas to find out what they'll be doing in their new roles and what the job means to them.

"It's definitely something I was manifesting and working towards," Comeskey said of becoming a PokerStars Team Pro member. "I think it's very important to be goal-oriented. This is definitely what I wanted for my future, and I'm so happy that we're here."

Koon, who is no stranger to promoting online poker, had a different path to signing with PokerStars. He first signed up for the poker site almost 20 years ago to the day.

"I honestly didn't think I would do another ambassadorship role," Koon said. "I'm really loving being with my two boys and my wife, and I still play poker a ton, you know, I travel for the super high rollers and I play cash games a bunch with my friends here in America. But, it needed to be something that I would do that was worth my time, and I'm already a pretty busy guy."

Koon would continue to explain the reason why the offer from PokerStars was too tempting to turn down: "The team at Stars, a lot of the people here I've known for a decade or more, and we have just aligned for so many reasons. One, being a part of North American poker is so exciting."

Koon, a West Virginia native, is one of the most accomplished poker players in history. He has over $58 million in live tournament cashes, according to The Hendon Mob, trailing only Bryn Kenney ($67 million), Justin Bonomo ($64 million), and Stephen Chidwick ($59 million).

The accomplishments don't stop there. Koon is a World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet winner, has crushed high-stakes cash games for years, and defeated Phil Hellmuth in a $1.6 million heads-up match on PokerGO's High Stakes Duel III in 2022.

Comeskey's life will be changing drastically due to her new role.

"Part of my new agreement is that I'm going to be moving. I've been known as 'Caitlin from Texas' for a while, but I'm actually going to be moving up to the Northeast," she said.

The soon-to-be former Texas resident will be headed to the Northeast so that she can livestream online poker games. Texas doesn't have legalized online poker, but PokerStars is licensed in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

PokerStars has long attracted some of the biggest names and most entertaining personalities in the game to rep the brand. The online poker giant continued that trend on Thursday with the big news.
