This year's Main Event has already surpassed the attendance of last year's 888poker LIVE Barcelona Main Event which featured 369 entrants and the number for this year will continue to grow as late registration remains available throughout the final Day 1d starting flight all the way until the start of Day 2.

After the dust had settled France's Jeremy Atlan held the biggest stack in the room, finishing Day 1c with 344,000, a stack that will be worth 115 big blinds going into Day 2. Among the notables who played Day 1c but did not survive until the end of the night is Maria Lampropulos, who registered just before the last level of play. Lampropulos, as well as 888poker stream team members Nick Eastwood and Aaron Barone will have one last chance to run up a stack in Day 1d tomorrow should they choose to take advantage of the tournament's unlimited reentries.

Later that day the fields will combine for Day 2 of the Main Event which starts at 5:00 p.m. local time. Late registration will remain open until just before the first hand is dealt on Day 2, at which point the final prize pool will be set.

Day 2 is set to play 12 45-minute levels with 15-minute breaks taking place after every three levels and a 60-minute dinner break set to take place later in the evening. All the action will be streamed on the 888poker YouTube and Twitch channels.

Be sure to stay tuned to PokerNews as we bring you all the action for the conclusion of this event from the moment cards are in the air on Day 2 until a winner is crowned on the third and final day taking place on May 20.

A player from under the gun moved all in for 35,000 and Jeremy Atlan raised to 75,000 from the cutoff, forcing all other players out of the pot to leave the under the gun player at risk.

Opponent: K?K? All in
Jeremy Atlan: 10?10?

Atlan was in rough shape with the lower pocket pair until the 8?5?10? flop gave him top set leaving his opponent drawing just to a heart or a king. The rest of the board ran out 3?6? changing nothing for either player and Atlan took the pot.

Cuzzone and Nuez Clash in Chip Lead Pot

Level 8 : Blinds 800/1,600, 1,600 ante
Ettore Cuzzone
Ettore Cuzzone

With two players seeing a board of 10?6?7? and about 20,000 in the middle, Ettore Cuzzone bet 11,000 from the big blind and Guillem Nuez raised to 27,000. Cuzzone made the call.

On the J? turn Cuzzone checked and Nuez bet 30,000. Cuzzone then moved all in, covering Nuez who had about 75,000 behind. Nuez went deep into the tank.

Several minutes went by before the clock was called. Not long after Nuez, with a grimace on his face, made the call and was at risk.

Guillem Nuez: 10?7? All in
Ettore Cuzzone: A?J?

Cuzzone was in bad shape with top pair against Nuez who had flopped two pair but that all changed when the J? river improved Cuzzone to trips.

"Vamos!" Cuzzone shouted, getting up from his seat upon seeing that he had improved to the winning hand.

"I hope you make the final table, celebrating like that" Nuez told his opponent, adding that it would probably be his first time.

"You can't call with that hand. Bingo" Cuzzone replied, referring to the preflop action.

"It was a small squeeze. Why not call? Nuez shot back. A few more heated words were exchanged before Nuez made his exit from the tournament area while Cuzzone dragged in the biggest pot of Day 1c so far.

Luque Loses the Absolute Minimum

Level 3 : Blinds 200/500, 500 ante

Mindaugas Pagareckas limped in from early position and Francisco Luque limped behind from middle position. Fabien Varre raised to 3,000 from the hijack and received calls from both opponents.

The flop came A?7?5? and action checked around to Varre who fired a 2,000 continuation bet. Both Luque and Pagareckas made the call.

Varre bet again when checked to on the 10? river, this time for 15,000. Pagareckas got out of the way and after taking his time to weigh his options Luque also opted to fold, revealing that he had limped behind with K?K? while doing so. Clearly surprised, Varre revealed that he had A?A? before taking the pot.
