By the end of the night the next champion of the Australia New Zealand Poker Tour will be crowned as the final 12 return to the SKYCITY Auckland Casino with the hopes of winning the ANZPT Auckland Main Event and the NZ$110,760 that goes along with that honour.
Leading the way with a monster 1,431,500 in chips is Amant Nauhria. The Indian born Kiwi dominated his table late on Day 2 and will now kick off action with just over 175 big blinds.
The closest competitor to Nauhria is David Lim with 1,012,000 in chips, while the next closest is Nicolas Oger who trails on 323,000.Combined, Nauhria and Lim have well over half of all the chips in play.
Also among the final 12 include the likes of Brad Stafford, Jason Cook, Aussies Dean Stevenson and Nathan Gubieski, and the lone lady of the final 12, Angela Brewster. These players will have their work cut out for them to catch Nauhria and Lim, but there is still plenty of time to make a run at the title.
