Benton Gets Two

Once Leo Boxell announced a raise from the small blind, Aaron Benton called out of the big blind. He didn't even wait to see how much Boxell had raised to. Boxell made it 200,000.

The flop came down {J-Diamonds} {J-Clubs} {6-Diamonds} after Boxell had checked in the dark. Benton checked behind.

The turn card was the {4-Hearts} and Boxell checked. Benton fired 100,000 and Boxell called.

The river was the {4-Clubs} and Boxell checked. Benton fired 150,000 and Boxell called. Boxell held {A-Diamonds} {A-Hearts}, but Benton flopped trips and went on to make a full house holding {K-Hearts} {J-Spades}.

Boxell dropped to 1.3 million and Benton went back up to 6.0 million.

After the hand, Boxell and Benton joked, having a conversation that sounded like this:

Boxell: "If there was one jack, I get all your chips! But you get two!"
Benton: "I always get two, that's never a doubt."
Boxell: "I'm on tilt now."

The Hachems Are Here

We've spotted a few more railbirds up in the seats. Joe and Tony Hachem have stopped in to check out the action along with some friends including Eric Assadourian and Donna Ciric.

Joe Hachem did bust out of the heads-up tournament at the hands of David Saab earlier.

Hermans v. Benton the Re-re-re-re-re-re-rematch

Aaron Benton and Ernst Hermans have been going at it all day. In their most recent encounter, Benton came out unscathed, improving to 5.7 million in chips.

Hermans called Benton's 200,000 preflop raise and saw the flop come {6-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{2-Clubs}. A pair of checks sent the action to the turn -- {7-Hearts} -- where Benton fired a 200,000 bet. Hermans made the call.

The river brought the {A-Hearts} and Benton fired again, this time firing 500,000, and not without delivering a(nother) lengthy speech to Hermans, who after several painstaking minutes, laid down his cards.

Benton flashed the {7-Diamonds} before raking in the pot. Hermans was left with 2.8 million in chips after the hand.

Who's Railing?

There's still a good amount of people hanging around the sports theatre at Star City checking out the final table. The two big groups are railing Ernst Hermans and Aaron Benton. Up in the auditorium seats, Van Marcus, Billy "The Croc" Argyros and Sam Youssef are hanging out watching the action. Tino Lechich is also hanging out up there, but he's waiting for his next heads-up match.

Break

The tournament clock has been paused while the remaining four players go on a quick 10-minute break.

Updated chip counts on the way!

Hermans with Miracle Double

Ernst Hermans moved all in on the button for 1.41 million and Wayne Carlson went into the tank from the small blind. He counted out the amount of chips that would be needed to make the call and then went into the tank some more. Eventually, he made the call with pocket nines -- {9-Spades} {9-Diamonds}. Hermans held two sixes -- {6-Clubs} {6-Diamonds}.

The board ran out {5-Diamonds} {3-Spades} {2-Clubs} {A-Clubs} {4-Hearts} to give Hermans the miracle double up by hitting a gutshot on the river for a straight. He's up to 2.9 million while Carlson dropped to 1.15 million.
