James "Andy McLEOD" Obst is known well in the online tournament world, and if his results online are anything to go by, this 18 year old from Adelaide, Australia will soon be gaining a lot more recognition from his live poker peers worldwide.
Obst was Australia's number one ranked online tournament player, before he was forced into exile after being exposed as an underage player. Having turned 18, Obst returned to the virtual felt in August and quickly returned to his winning ways by tearing up over half a million dollars in tournament earnings in less then six months. According to online tournament rankings, Obst currently ranks 67th in the world.
Over the last six months, Obst has also vigorously pursued the live tournament circuit; twice finding himself shy of the money at both the AAPT Manilla, and then most recently the Main Event at the Pokerstars Carribean Adventure in the Bahamas.
With McLEOD surging at the moment, expectations are high that this could be his breakthrough live tournament.

Benson out
World Series of Poker bracelet holder Gary Benson moved the last of his chips into the pot preflop holding and found himself in terrible shape against Dan Shak's .
Both players would make two pair on the board, but Benson would find himself out-kicked by Shak's ace.
Dan Shak is sitting on 14,000. Benson heads to rail and will most likely be in action again tomorrow in the HORSE tournament.

Jason Gray raised to 1,200 before Dave Lee popped it up to 1,800. Obst then capped it at 2,400 with both opponents making the call.
The flop came down and the action checked to Obst, who bet out for 600. Gray made the call before Lee check-raised to 1,200. Obst reraised once again to 1,800 and Gray stepped aside. Lee made the call all in for his tournament life.
