Tony Hachem raised preflop to 22,000, prompting a series of folds from all of his opponents. He flashed pocket queens and sadly said, "No one wants to play with me." He then took the queens and tried to slide them back under his stack of chips for the next hand. No luck there, and the dealer snatched the cards away for a shuffle.

Carle opened the pot with a raise to 20,000 from middle position. Jarred Graham made the call, as did both blinds.

Here, action was checked to Carle who led out with a 45,000 bet. The small blind was the lone caller and the two went heads-up to the river -- .
The small blind then tanked for quite some time, before firing a 55,000 bet. Carle made the call and the small blind turned over for nothing but a busted straight draw.
Carle tabled for top pair, king kicker, which was more than enough to earn him the pot.
Mario Zulj must have thought he was about to be doubled up when he put his remaining 40,000 in the pot preflop with against the of Antonis "Toothpick Tony" Kambouroglou.
The flop and the turn weren't disastrous for Zulj, but it was the river that brought the storm when the fell. Zulj was sent packing while Toothpick Tony picked up the pot bringing his stack to 170,000.

Larosa moved all in for 70,000 from under the gun preflop, only to see Thornton reshove for 150,000 from middle position. The others got out of the way and the cards were tabled:

From early position, Mitchell Carle looks down at and opens with a raise to 20,000. Action then folds around to Barry Woods who three-bets to 55,000. Carle then moves all in for a total of 180,500 and Woods makes the call, setting up a preflop heads-up showdown:
