David Bach has just eliminated Lee Nelson during Razz. Nelson bet all the way down with Bach calling. The last of Nelson's chips went in on fifth street.
Nelson becomes the bubble boy. Bach extends his chip lead at 195,000.
Apparently writing about bust-out's prompts more of them. We are now on the money bubble here in the $10,000 H.O.R.S.E, with the elimination of Shawn Buchanan.
We missed the action, but we've updated the chip counts to stay in tune with the latest development.
Mel Judah, who who had the majority of his chips in the big blind, called off the last few hundred after David Bach's early position raise. Judah's was live against Bach's , and when the peeked as the door card, there was lots of hope.
Unfortunately the other two flop cards were the and the and Judah was back to needing some help. The turn was the , and the river the eliminating Judah in 8th place.
So we've busted two players while the last post was being written. Jason Gray and Billy "The Croc" Argyros have both met their demise. Although play was scheduled to end, Jeffrey Lisandro talked the players into continuing till they hit the money, which is three more bust-outs.
As we near the final table there are a number of short stacks remaining in the field, and a few others that continue to rise the ladder. Here are the counts for the remaining players.
Richard Asby - 140,000
Mike Watson - 10,000
Shawn Buchanan - 50,000
Jason Gray - 23,000
Lee Nelson - 37,000
David Bach - 174,000
Mel Judah - 7,000
Graeme Putt - 24,000
Jeffrey Lisandro - 22,000
Billy "The Croc" Argyros - $13,000
Play will be halted for the night once players reach a final table.
In a moment of pure Razz insanity, when players get all in and cards are just tossed with reckless abandon, a short-stacked Andrew Brown was facing elimination against the chip leader, David Bach.
Brown was looking decent with to start with, against Bach's , but paired his deuce on fifth street, then paired one of his down cards as well giving Bach the easy win.
In a very interesting dynamic, the youngster of the group, Andrew Brown is at a table with Jeffrey Lisandro, Graeme Putt, Billy "The Croc" Argyros and Mel Judah. Representing the old guard of Australian poker, these gentleman are having a grand ol' time together.
Judah and Putt are clinking snifters of Cognac with Argyros who has some sort of cocktail as well. What's Brown drinking? Looks like hot chocolate. However, other than his drink preference Brown is getting into a nice jive with the boys, chatting it up, laughing, singing, and all an all, just part of the group.
