Dom Does it Again

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

In the final hand before the break Dominykas raised to 6,000 from the button and Elliot three-bet to 18,000. Without hesitation Karmazinas four-bet to 42,000 and Smith let it go. After the short break we will most likely see some fireworks as Karmazinas will smell the victory having his opponent severely outchipped.

Karmazinas Keeps The Pressure On

With 12,000 in the middle, a min-raise and a call, the flop read {8-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}. Smith checked to Karmazinas who bet 8,000. Smith decided to make it 25,000 and his opponent called.

The turn was the {Q-Clubs} and Smith bet 22,000. Karmazinas wanted to play for more, and he made it 73,000 to go. Smith tanked for a bit, and than let go of his hand.

It's Quiet so Far

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

The heads up is very quiet so far with small pots being played. Both players are winning their share of the pots which gives us similar chip counts after around 10 minutes of play. There will be a short break in 15 minutes.

JC Tran Eliminated in 3rd Place (A$95,000)

JC Tran - 3rd Place
JC Tran - 3rd Place

After being chipped down to around 40,000, JC Tran moved all in from the button and was called by Dominykas Karmazinas in the small blind. Elliot Smith then moved all in over the top for 208,900 total, and after contemplating it for about a minute, Karmazinas released his hand.

Showdown

Tran{A-Spades}{8-Clubs}
Smith{K-Clubs}{K-Hearts}

Tran pointed to his ace in reference to his over card, which was his best hope. While the {4-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} flop did not deliver an ace, it did pair Tran's eight and give him some extra outs. The {5-Spades} turn was not one of them, and neither was the {2-Spades} river. Tran made his exit in third place and left Smith (265,000) to face Karmazinas (735,000) in heads-up play.

Tran's Back

In a blind battle JC Tran just got his last 29,200 chips into the pot against Elliot Smith. We witnessed the following showdown.

JC Tran{A-Hearts}{8-Clubs}
Elliot Smith{K-Hearts}{4-Clubs}

The board ran out {8-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{6-Spades}{5-Hearts}{9-Spades} giving Tran the double up. He is still the short stack, but there is a lot more play left now.
