In a battle of the blinds, Ami Barer bet 115,000 from the small blind on a flop and Sorel Mizzi called from the big blind. Barer then checked the turn, Mizzi bet 300,000, and Barer woke up with an all-in check-raise to 2.895 million. Mizzi asked for a count, thought about it for nearly 90 seconds, and then conceded the hand.

Rubianes was eliminated in fifth place and exited to the loving arms of his supporters on the rail.
