Wan Chips Up Again

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Gareth Pepper raised to 140,000 in the hijack with the {5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} and Vincent Wan three-bet to 425,000 in the cutoff with {3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}. Ngoc Tai Hoang had a decision in the small blind with {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts} and folded, as did Pepper.

Nino Ullmann raised it up to 140,000 from under the gun with {k-Spades}{7-Spades} and found no resistance.

Wann made it 130,000 to go from early position, holding the {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs}, and he picked up a call by Nicolas Malo on the button with {j-Hearts}{10-Spades}. Ullmann stuck around in the big blind with the {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} and the {k-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} flop brought no hit for either player. Ullmann checked, Wan bet 140,000 to force a fold from Malo and Ullmann in the final hand of the level.

Seidel Takes From Wan

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

First to act, Erik Seidel raised with the {a-Spades}{8-Spades} and he was called by Oliver Weis in the cutoff with the {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds} and Vincent Wan in the big blind with {k-Hearts}{4-Hearts}. The {3-Spades}{2-Spades}{2-Hearts} flop was checked by Wan, Seidel bet 200,000 and Weis let go.

Wan went for the check-raise to 600,000 and Seidel made the go to see the {k-Spades} on the turn. Wan checked once more and Seidel fired a bet of 550,000, Wan quickly called.

The {3-Diamonds} on the river paired the board for the second time and both players checked to award the pot to Seidel.

Gareth Pepper
Gareth Pepper

Erik Seidel raised to 150,000 with {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts} and Oliver Weis called on the button with {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}, as did Gareth Pepper in the big blind with {6-Hearts}{5-Spades}. The {q-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} flop was checked to Seidel, who made it 150,000 to go.

Both Seidel and Pepper stuck around and the {a-Hearts} turn was checked through all the way. Pepper hit quads on the {5-Clubs} river and he made it 315,000 to go. Seidel called and so did Weis,

Hoang Turns a Straight

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Nino Ullmann raised from early position with the {a-Diamonds}{5-Spades} and Nicolas Malo defended the {q-Clubs}{j-Spades} in the big blind. The flop came {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}{8-Hearts} and Malo check-called a bet worth 125,000. The {k-Diamonds} on the turn was checked through and the {6-Spades} river brought no betting action either and the pot was pushed to Ullmann.

Erik Seidel made it 150,000 to go with the {a-Clubs}{3-Clubs} in the cutoff and he was called by Ngoc Tai Hoang with the {7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}, as did Oliver Weis in the big blind with {q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}. On a flop of {q-Spades}{5-Spades}{3-Hearts} all three players checked to see the {4-Diamonds} turn on which Hoang made the straight.

Weis bet 290,000 and that forced out Seidel, while a raise to 800,000 by Hoang ended the hand right there.

Nino Ullmann raised to 140,000 with the {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} and Vincent Wan three-bet to 425,000 on the button with the {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}. Ngoc Tai Hoang in the big blind four-bet jammed for 1,205,000 with the {a-Spades}{k-Clubs} and Ullmann folded, Wan quickly called.

On the {7-Spades}{4-Hearts}{3-Spades} flop, Hoang had the freeroll and indeed got there thanks to the {j-Spades} turn and {5-Spades} river in order to score an unlikely double up.
