John Juanda min-raised his button and David Vamplew called. As is traditional, they saw a flop.
Flop:
Vamplew checked. Juanda checked behind. Everyone got to see a turn card.
Turn:
This time Vamplew bet out 625,000. Over to Juanda, who disappeared into the tank. While he was in there, he counted out the call. But then he reached for more green T100k chips. He tanked some more... and when he came out of the tank, he raised to 1.85 million.
Vamplew went all in.
And Juanda called.
Juanda: for a Broadway straight
Vamplew: for a flush draw, with three outs to a chop as well
River: bringing in Vamplew's flush
That, as everyone on the live feed and in the press room commented, is sick.
John Juanda raised to 400,000 on the button and David Vamplew called. The saw a quick check from Vamplew, a 600,000 bet from Juanda followed bya check-raise to 1.675 million from Vamplew. Juanda folded pretty quickly.
Vamplew continues to come back, he's up about 8.35 million, Juanda has 16.1 million
David Vamplew clearly avoided walking under ladders on the way here today, John Juanda though must have walked into the path of a black cat. Vamplew moved all-in for about 3.5 million and Juanda thought for about a minute before making the call.
Vamplew:
Juanda:
The flop came - Juanda probably thinking, "It's never easy, is it?"
The turn was greated with cheers from the Vamplew fans and he held on the river to double up to around 7 million but he's still around 2.5 to 1 down in chips to the former WSOPE champion.
John Juanda raised to 425,000 and David Vamplew made the call before trying something new. He led out for 575,000 on the flop into Juanda, who called to see the turn.
Vamplew now fired 1.275 million but Juanda wasn't that impressed and called quickly despite the size of the bet. The came on the river and it went check-check.
Juanda showed and that was good enough to take it down.
The hand started small, with a small raise from John Juanda on the button and a call from David Vamplew.
It got a little bigger on the flop, when Vamplew check-called a 700,000 continuation bet from Juanda.
It stayed the same when both players checked the turn.
But it turned massive on the river.
Vamplew checked, and after a little pause Juanda bet 2.25 million. A slightly longer pause elapsed before Vamplew check-raised to 4.9 million. Juanda looked a little confused and a little concerned. He thought about it... and thought about it... and went all in.
Snap-fold.
Juanda is now very definitely back in the lead - 18.58 million to Vamplew's 6.47 million.
David Vamplew opened to 400,000 and John Juanda reraised to 1,200,000 before Vamplew made a 4-bet to around 2,400,000. Juanda moved all-in and Vamplew sheepishly smirked and quickly folded.
John Juanda had already won a relatively big pot, raising preflop and betting on the flop before taking it down with a 1.2 million bet on the turn.
A couple hands later and Juanda raised preflop again, getting another call from Vamplew, but this time Juanda checked behind to Vamplew's check on the flop. Vamplew checked the turn, too, and then folded to a 700,000 bet from Juanda.
David Vamplew raised to 400,000 and John Juanda made the call before the latter checked the flop across to the young Scot, giving him an intense stare.
Vamplew bet 525,000 but Juanda check-raised to 1,200,000. Vamplew made the call to see a virtual brick turn, and Juanda checked again, Vamplew fired 1,200,000 and Juanda folded quickly.
