River Bluff from Puccini

Level 29 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

From middle position, Mario Puccini raised to 160,000 with the {J-Clubs}{10-Clubs}. In the big blind, Davidi Kitai reraised to 420,000 holding the {A-Diamonds}{6-Spades}. Puccini called and the flop came down {K-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{5-Spades}. Kitai fired 275,000 with his ace high and Puccini called with his straight draw.

The turn was the {8-Hearts} and Kitai fired a second barrel worth 550,000. Again, Puccini stuck around.

The river was the {6-Hearts} and Kitai checked. Puccini fired 875,000 and Kitai tanked for a bit, staring Puccini down the entire time. At one point, he reached for a stack of chips, slid it around his cards and hoped to get a reaction from Puccini. Puccini didn't flinch and after another minute, Kitai folded.

César García Eliminated in 6th Place (€133,000)

César García
César García

We are down to five in the Main Event after César García's tournament came to an abrupt end.

Mario Puccini opened to 120,000 from under the gun and Andrew Chen made a loose three-bet to 310,000 holding just {10-Clubs}{8-Clubs}. César García was in the big blind and he woke up with {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds} and moved all in for 1,580,000. Unfortunately for him Puccini had opened with {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Spades} and re-shoved all in. Chen instantly folded and the dealer got busy putting out the community bards.

By the river they read {5-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} and with that García became the sixth place finisher.

Not Sure What Kilickeser is Doing Here?

Bahadir Kilickeser is unconventional but he sure is fun to watch.

He was sat in the big blind with {2-Spades}{3-Spades} and defended a 130,000 button raise from Andrew Chen holding {j-Hearts}{9-Clubs}.

The flop fell {8-Clubs}{5-Spades}{q-Clubs} and Kilickeser checked to face a 180,000 c-bet. He check-called and faced a 350,000 bet on the {a-Clubs} turn when he checked again. Chen fired again for 350,000 and it looked as if Kilickeser was going to make a move but he decided aginast it and folded.
