Marc Wright Eliminated in 7th Place (€97,000)

Marc Wright
Marc Wright

The final British player in the field, Marc Wright, has been eliminated by Davidi Kitai and the latter takes a massive chip lead moving forward.

Wright opened to 125,000 from early position and called when Kitai three-bet to 285,000. The flop came {4-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{8-Spades} and Kitai continued for 235,000. Call. The turn came {10-Clubs} and Kitai's second barrel for 550,000 was treated to an all-in for 2,890,000 from Wright.

Kitai tanked for more than five minutes as Wright sat there fidgeting in his seat from one position to another. Eventually he made the call and the cards were on their backs.

Kitai: {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs} for top pair.
Wright: {q-Spades}{j-Spades} for a double gutshot draw.

The river came {3-Clubs} and Wright looked disappointed as he left the stage. Kitai will take some stopping now.

Kilickeser Makes An Ill-Timed Move

Bahadir Kilickeser has slid down the chip counts after running a bluff against Andrew Chen when Chen held trips!

Chen opened the betting with a raise to 130,000 from under the gun and the action folded around to Kilickeser two seats to his left who was holding {6-Spades}{5-Spades} and decided to call. The dealer fanned out the {8-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} flop and Chen fired a continuation bet of 200,000 only to see Kilickeser raise to 500,000. Chen quickly called and the dealer put out the {q-Clubs} on the turn.

Chen, who had {K-Hearts}{q-Spades} in his hand, checked his trips and as soon as he had done Kilickeser bet 500,000 and Chen wasted no time in calling. The river was the {5-Hearts} and Chen checked again. Kilickeser bet just 500,000 into the 2,920,000 pot and Chen almost instantly called and took down the sizeable pot.

Jack the Lad Kilickeser

Marc Wright opened to 125,000 from under the gun with with {k-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} and the action folded to Davidi Kitai in the small blind. He three-bet to 290,000 with {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}. and was surprised when Bahadir Kilickeser cold-called from the big blind ({j-Diamonds}{j-Spades}). Wright folded and the other two saw a {10-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} flop.

Kitai seemed to hate the texture of the flop and check-folded to a 310,000 bet.

Kitai Five-Bets Chen

Andrew Chen got the betting underway with a raise to 130,000 from early position and the action folded to Davidi Kitai in the cutoff. He looked down and found ace-king in the hole and he three-bet to 285,000! With the action back on him Chen four-bet to 665,000 despite holding an offsuit queen-nine. Kitai stared down his sole opponent before five-betting to 1,285,000 and Chen quickly got out of the way.

Wright Wins First Pot After The Break

Level 28 : 30,000/60,000, 5,000 ante

Davidi Kitai opened to 135,000 from the button when the action folded around to him and only Marc Wright, in the big blind, made the call.

The dealer put out the {j-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} flop and Wright check-called an 85,000 continuation bet. The turn was the {2-Hearts} and both players checked its arrival. But there was no such passivity on the {4-Spades} river because Wright took a stab at the pot by betting 105,000 and Kitai folded.

The hands? Wright held {A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} and Kitai {Q-Hearts}[6s.
