Two Steps Forward, One Step Back

Ben Warrington almost doubled his short stack after two successful three-bet jams on the bounce, but then he lost most of that profit back the very next hand.

He opened to 170,000 from the cut-off and David Boyaciyan peeled from the big blind. Both checked the flop before Boyaciyan led for 275,000 on the turn. Warrington called and the board completed as {5-Clubs}{10-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{6-Clubs}.

Both players checked and the Dutchman opened {4-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} and took the pot as Warrington mucked.

Sergey Kuzminskiy Eliminated in 6th Place (€150,000)

Sergey Kuzminskiy has been eliminated in sixth place, a finish worth €150,000 to the Russian student.

David Boyaciyan started the betting with a raise to 180,000 and then called as Kuzminskiy three-bet shoved for 1,485,000.

Boyaciyan: {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}
Kuzminskiy: {K-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}

The {6-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{2-Spades} flop kept the tens in front and the {J-Spades} turn was no help to Kuzminskiy. Neither was the {7-Spades} river and we are down to five in the EPT Prague Main Event.

Kuzminskiy Shove Gets Through

Level 29 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

Sergey Kuzminskiy open-shoved from late position and Sotirios Koutoupas folded. We initially thought he has called because he turned over the {J-Spades}{5-Clubs}. Alas, he did not call and Kuzminskiy helped himself to the blinds and antes.

Warrington Put to the Test

Ben Warrington is under severe pressure now after he was manoeuvred off a hand by last season's runner-up, David Boyaciyan.

Warrington opened to 160,000 and Boyaciyan defended his big blind, as he likes to do.

The flop fell {4-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} and Warrington's 160,000 c-bet was treated to a check-raise up to 395,000. The Brit thought for two minutes before he released his hand.

Short Stacks Three-Bet Shove

Level 29 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

The two shortest stacks, Sergey Kuzminskiy and Ben Warrington have three-bet shoved in consecutive hands.

Diego Gomez opened to 180,000 from the cutoff and Kuzminskiy three-bet shoved for 1,335,000 from the small blind. Gomez quickly folded and Kuzminskiy helped himself to some much needed chips.

The very next hand, David Boyaciyan opened to 180,000 (again from the cutoff) and Warrington moved all-in for 1,400,000 when the action passed to him in the big blind. Boyaciyan looked like he was considering a call but he ultimately folded.

Aleh Plauski Eliminated in 7th Place (€108,400)

Aleh Plauski

Nothing much went right for Aleh Plauski today. He was beaten up by David Boyaciyan in two big pots and he was just finished off by Ramzi Jelassi.

The Swede opened to 160,000 before Plauski three-bet to 350,000. Jelassi came back with a four-bet to 540,000 and call when Plauski shoved for 2,450,000.

Plauski: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}
Jelassi: {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}

The board ran {3-Clubs}{6-Spades}{j-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{2-Hearts}.

Jelassi lost the last big race he had but this time managed to hold and now has twice the chips of any other player.
