Berggren Wins a Long One

Level 29 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Uri Reichenstein raised to 250,000 in the hijack and was called by Andreas Berggren on the button and Tibor Nagygyorgy in the small blind. The flop fell {j-Spades}{10-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} and the action checked around to the {a-Diamonds} on the turn.

The action was on Berggren who bet 475,000 and Nagygyorgy used two time banks before laying his hand down. Reichenstein called and the {2-Hearts} completed the board.

Reichenstein checked again and Berggren counted out a bet of 900,000. This time, Reichenstein dipped into the tank and used up three time banks before splashing in a call. Berggren turned over {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds} for a straight and Reichenstein conceded.

Lander Lijo
Lander Lijo

Lander Lij originally wanted to be a doctor when he grew up, but it wasn't in the cards. Without the grades required for medical school, Lij followed his passion for playing basketball to a major in sports science at a university in Vitoria in the north of Spain, not far from where he grew up in San Sebastian. His poker record is characterized by volume and consistency with an impressive 26 five-figure live cashes to his credit.

The Spaniard is yet to book a six-figure payday on the live felt but that will change today in the PokerStars European Poker Tour Barcelona 10,300 EPT High Roller where he has made the final table. Of a total field of 540 entries, Lij finished Day 2 leading the final 26 players, one of three players over 2 million chips.

Antonios Paschalidis

Antonios Paschalidis moved all in for 790,000 from middle position. Lander Lijo asked for a count and then moved all in himself.

Uri Reichenstein open-mucked {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs} in the big blind and the other cards were turned over.

Antonios Paschalidis: {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}
Lander Lijo: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}

The {2-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{3-Hearts} flop didn't offer much in the way of hope for the Greek, but he called for a diamond nevertheless. The turn did bring a diamond in the {8-Diamonds} but the river {8-Clubs} sent him to the rail.
