Hands #66-69: Fish Hooks All Around

Level 32 : 80,000/160,000, 20,000 ante
JJ vs JJ
JJ vs JJ

Hand #66: Valentin Messina opened for 325,000 holding {j-Spades}{j-Hearts} under the gun and was met by a three-bet to 825,000 by Dominik Panka, who held the other jacks ({j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}) on the button. The blinds both folded, and Messina pushed back with a four-bet to 1.95 million. Panka then five-bet all in for 6.56 million and Messina shook his head in disgust. He made the call nonetheless, which meant the only way one of them would win was if the board four-flushed. The {a-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} flop took away any chance of that happening, meaning the pot was chopped after the {10-Spades} was put out on the turn followed by the {K-Clubs} river.

Hand #67: Panka raised to 325,000 under the gun with the {10-Spades}{9-Clubs} and took down the blinds and antes.

Hand #68: Jean Montury opened for 350,000 under the gun with the {a-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} and Messina three-bet to 925,000 with the {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} in the small blind. Montury folded.

Hand #69: Messina made it 325,000 with the {k-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} on the button and took down the blinds and antes.

Hands #62-65: Schillhabel Doubles Again

Level 32 : 80,000/160,000, 20,000 ante

Hand #62: Dominik Panka min-raised from the button and Stefan Schillhabel called out of the big blind. After the {7-Spades}?{5-Spades}?{8-Diamonds} flop, the cards of both were revealed and Schillhabel check-called a continuation bet of 325,000 with {J-Clubs}?{8-Spades}. Panka held the {10-Clubs}?{10-Diamonds} and found the {10-Spades} on the turn to make a set.

Schillhabel check-called a bet of 600,000 and the {A-Spades} river completed the board, triggering yet another check from the German. Panka slid forward a stack of T-100,000 chips to put his opponent all in and Schillhabel mucked.

Hand #63: Panka opened to 325,000 with {Q-Hearts}?{J-Clubs} and Valentin Messina cut out raising chips with the {8-Spades}?{3-Spades} out of the big blind, three-betting to 925,000. The PokerStars sponsored player opted to muck.

Hand #64: Jean Montury raised to 350,000 as first-to-act with {A-Spades}?{10-Hearts} and Schillhabel tanked for some time before releasing his {K-Clubs}?{9-Clubs} from one seat over, both players in the blinds also got out of the way.

Hand #65: Schillhabel moved all in from under the gun for 1.34 million with {A-Clubs}?{J-Spades}. Messina isolated from one seat over with the {8-Diamonds}?{8-Clubs} and the players in the blinds folded.

It was a coin flip for the German to stay in the tournament and the {5-Diamonds}?{Q-Diamonds}?{6-Diamonds} flop as well as {5-Hearts} turn were bad news for Schillhabel. However, his rail erupted on the {J-Clubs} river and the German doubled up.

Hands #58-61: The Last Four Hands of Level 31 (full)

Level 31 : 60,000/120,000, 20,000 ante

Hand #58: Dominik Panka raised to 250,000 from the button holding the {q-Clubs}{7-Hearts} and Stefan Schillhabel, who looked down at the {a-Hearts}{7-Spades} in the big blind, thought long and hard before making the call. When the flop came down {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}, Schillhabel check-called a bet of 250,000 and then both players checked when they paired on the {7-Clubs} turn. The {10-Clubs} river counterfeited both, and again it went check-check. Schillhabel's ace kicker was good and he was pushed the pot.

Hand #59: Valentin Messina received a walk in the big blind.

Hand #60: Messina raised to 360,000 from the small blind holding the {k-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} and Panka defended from the big blind with the {8-Spades}{4-Spades}. Messina continued for 415,000 on the {j-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} flop and Panka folded.

Hand #61: Panka limped from the small blind with the {a-Spades}{3-Spades} and Jean Montury checked his option from the big with the {10-Hearts}{8-Clubs}. Both players checked the {5-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{5-Spades} flop, and the dealer burned and turned the {a-Hearts}. Panka, who paired his ace, bet 150,000, and Montury called with his ten-high flush draw. The {3-Hearts} river completed the said flush, and Panka check-folded to a bet of 435,000 from Montury.

Hand #54 - 57: Panka's Got Moves

Level 31 : 60,000/120,000, 20,000 ante

Hand #54: Dominik Panka raised to 250,000 from the button with {8-Clubs}{6-Clubs} before Jean Montury three-bet to 605,000 from the small blind with {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}. Action back on Panka who made the call in position. The flop came {k-Spades}{7-Spades}{2-Clubs} and Montury continued for 550,000. Panka gave it some thought and called. The turn came as the {3-Spades} and the Frenchman took his time, checked his cards once more, and slowed to a check. Panka, still behind his shades, made his move with an 875,000 bet. Job complete as Montury folded.

Hand #55: Montury picked up {q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} on the button and raised to 260,000. Valentin Messina was in the big blind with {a-Hearts}{5-Hearts} and called to see a {4-Spades}{4-Clubs}{6-Clubs} flop. Both players checked to the {4-Diamonds} turn where both players checked again to see a board house made on the {6-Spades} river. They chopped it up after checking once more.

Hand #56: The {10-Hearts}{7-Hearts} was enough for Stefan Schillhabel to open his button to the tune of 240,000. Panka defended his big blind with the dominating {j-Diamonds}{7-Spades}. Both missed the {4-Clubs}{5-Spades}{a-Spades} flop where Schillhabel continued for 320,000. Panka check-folded.

Hand #57: Panka raised from the small blind with {a-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} and Montury peeled from the big blind with {q-Hearts}{8-Spades}. Panka continued for 180,000 on a {j-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{7-Hearts} and Montury called to the {6-Hearts} turn where both players checked. The {6-Spades} was the last card dealt and they checked again. Panka raked in another pot.

Hands #50-53: Panka Gets Tricky

Level 31 : 60,000/120,000, 20,000 ante

Hand #50: Valentin Messina opened to 325,000 from under the gun with {6-Hearts}?{5-Clubs} and Stefan Schillhabel defended his big blind with the {6-Clubs}?{4-Clubs}. The heads-up flop of {5-Hearts}?{Q-Clubs}?{8-Spades} flop was checked through and Schillhabel check-called a bet of 375,000 on the {4-Diamonds} turn.

With the {6-Diamonds} river as final card, Messina's value bet of 475,000 was called by the German who then showed his inferior two pair and lost 40% of his stack.

Hand #51: Schillhabel shoved out of the small blind for 1.85 million with {A-Clubs}?{7-Hearts} and won the big blind and antes.

Hand #52: Messina limped out of the small blind with {K-Spades}?{5-Spades} and Dominik Panka from one seat over squeezed to 375,000 with {6-Spades}?{2-Diamonds}. Messina opted for a call and they headed to the {6-Diamonds}?{9-Hearts}?{3-Diamonds} flop. Two checks were followed by the {8-Spades} turn and Messina checked again. Panka checked also and the same story repeated on the {Q-Hearts} river to let the Pole win the pot with his six.

Hand #53: Panka limped from the small blind with {Q-Hearts}?{5-Clubs} and Jean Montury raised to 285,000 from one seat over with the {A-Hearts}?{8-Hearts}. The Pole got tricky and three-bet to 720,000 but Montury called to see a flop of {2-Spades}?{3-Clubs}?{K-Spades}. A bet of 550,000 by Panka got through uncalled and the Polish crowd cheered.

Hands #47-49: Bad Runout for Panka

Level 31 : 60,000/120,000, 20,000 ante

Hand #47: Valentin Messina received a walk in the big blind.

Hand #48: Jean Montury raised to 250,000 with {5-Hearts}?{3-Hearts} and Messina peeled from the small blind with {10-Clubs}?{7-Clubs}. Dominik Panka folded in the big blind and Montury's continuation bet on the {8-Clubs}?{2-Diamonds}?{8-Hearts} flop for 240,000 did the trick to enforce a fold.

Hand #49: Panka limped from the small blind with {7-Hearts}?{2-Hearts} and Montury checked the big blind with {Q-Clubs}?{5-Hearts}. On the {2-Spades}?{4-Diamonds}?{7-Diamonds} flop, the Pole bet 140,000 and received a call. The {Q-Diamonds} on the turn triggered a second barrel worth 350,000 from Panka and received a call to generate a pot of 1.3 million in chips.

The dealer burned and turned the {5-Spades} as final community card. The PCA10 champion bet 550,000 and Montury just called after some consideration to jump into the lead.
