Bianchi Sliding

Level 28 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Hand #1:

John Michalak raised to 200,000 from the small blind, and Christopher Audrain called in the big blind.

The {3-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{5-Hearts} flop saw Michalak bet 175,000, and Audrain snap-folded.

Hand #2:

Paul Bianchi missed his big blind. Michalak raised to 200,000, and Audrain called, while Bianchi's 80,000 chip blind and ante were posted dead.

Michalak bet 275,000 on a {j-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{6-Hearts} flop after Audrain checked, and Audrain quickly called.

The {4-Diamonds} fell on the turn, and both players checked.

The {5-Spades} hit the river, and both players checked again. Audrain turned over {10-}{10-} and took down the pot

Paul Bianchi
Paul Bianchi

Christopher Audrain limped in from the small blind, and Paul Bianchi raised to 150,000 in the big blind. Audrain called.

Audrain checked the {8-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} flop to Bianchi, who bet 140,000. Audrain check-raised to 340,000, and Bianchi tanked for a few minutes before three-betting to 840,000. Audrain looked over at Bianchi, who sat motionless while staring at the board. Audrain reached for a stack of chips, then released the chips, and a few moments later, released his hand.

More than Five Million for Michalak

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Audrain opened to 180,000 on the button, and only John Michalak called in the big blind.

The dealer put out {10-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{7-Hearts} on the flop, and Michalak checked it to the raiser. Audrain threw 250,000 across the line, and Michalak check-raised to 700,000 fairly quickly. Audrain went deep into the tank, first folding his arms and staring across the table at Michalak. After several minutes of thought, he made the laydown, and Michalak broke the five-million mark with the win.

Michalak Closes In On Five Million

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

After Christopher Audrain folded on the button, Paul Bianchi raised the small blind to 130,000. John Michalak called.

The flop came down {4-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{q-Spades}, and Bianchi continued for 145,000. Michalak called again.

Bianchi checked the ultimate blank in the form of the {2-Hearts} turn, however, and Michalak took the lead, tossing out 225,000. Bianchi called.

When the {10-Diamonds} hit the river, Bianchi quickly checked, and Michalak fired 600,000 just as quickly. Bianchi went deeper into the tank than he had all day, eventually throwing away his hand.

Hamid Izadi Eliminated in 4th Place ($53,769)

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Hamid Izadi
Hamid Izadi

Hamid Izadi jammed for his last 90,000 on the button, and was called by both Christopher Audrain and Paul Bianchi called in the blinds.

The {5-Spades}{q-Hearts}{a-Hearts} flop and {4-Spades} turn were checked through, and Audrain checked the {2-Hearts} river to Bianchi, who bet 150,000. Audrain folded.

Izadi tabled {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}, but Bianchi had rivered Izadi's sevens with {9-Spades}{3-Hearts} for a wheel, and the Day 2 chip leader fell in fourth.

Audrain Leaves Izadi with Less than Two Bigs

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

The two shorter (and even) stacks got into it when action folded to the blinds. Hamid Izadi opened it up to 130,000 in the small blind. BIg blind Christopher Audrain called.

Izadi threw out 200,000 on the {j-Hearts}{a-Spades}{8-Clubs} flop, and Chris matched it.

The {j-Diamonds} paired the board on the now full-rainbow board, and Izadi opted to check. Audrain fired 200,000, and Izadi check-raised all in.

Audrain stood up, agonizing over the change of events, saying, "Did I let you get there?" He thought it over for quite some time before pushing his own stack forward for the call.

Christopher Audrain: {a-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}
Hamid Izadi: {8-Hearts}{5-Hearts}

Having turned his flopped bottom pair into a bluff, Izadi couldn't fill up on the {5-Spades} river. Once a starting stack, now just one-and-a-half blinds, he was left with 90,000.
