Big Stacks Heads Up

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Action folded to Paul Bianchi in the small blind, who raised it up to 130,000. John Michalak defended in the big.

When the {5-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{8-Spades} flop hit the felt, Bianchi continued for 140,000. Michalak quickly called.

The {7-Clubs} river went check-check, and Bianchi checked again on the {2-Diamonds} river. Michalak thought it through, ultimately putting out a bet of 400,000. Bianchi let it go, and the two big stacks evened out.

Izadi Takes Another Hit

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Paul Bianchi opened the action to 130,000, John Michalak called on the button, and Hamid Izadi called in the small blind.

The flop came {6-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}, and Izadi checked it over to Bianchi, who continued for 175,000. Michalak folded, and Izadi called.

The {2-Hearts} turn went check-check, as did the {7-Diamonds} river, and both players showed: {6-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for Izadi for flopped bottom pair, and {a-Clubs}{9-Spades} for Bianchi, for flopped middle pair and the chips.

Bianchi Gets Thin Value on River

Level 26 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Hamid Izadi opened to 120,000 on the button, and Paul Bianchi opted to three-bet to 280,000 in the big blind. Izadi called.

The dealer spread {8-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{10-Hearts} on the flop, and Bianchi continued with a downbet of 240,000. Izadi called again.

The {4-Hearts} hit the felt on the turn, and Bianchi fired 440,000. The two were off to a river after Izadi matched it.

With the {a-Spades} river on the board, Bianchi bet yet again, this time for 750,000. Izadi tank-called, after which Bianchi showed {k-Spades}{j-Hearts} for a flopped top pair that bravely kept firing on an unideal runout. Izadi mucked, and Bianchi pulled in the pot, closing in on five million chips.

Audrain Active; Updated Chip Counts

Level 26 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Hand #1:

John Michalak raised to 125,000 from under the gun, and Christopher Audrain three-bet to 425,000 in the small blind. Michalak tilted his head over at Audrain, then looked over his stack before folding a few moments later.

Hand #2:

Audrain raised to 150,000 from the button, and Paul Bianchi three-bet to 525,000 in the small blind. Michalak folded his big blind, and Audrain looked over at Bianchi and smirked.

"Easiest fold I've had all day," Audrain said before turning over {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} and mucking.

Blind-on-Blind Pot Heats Up

Level 26 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Action folded to Hamid Izadi, who completed his small blind. Christopher Audrain checked his option, and they went heads up to a flop of {k-Hearts}{3-Spades}{k-Clubs}.

Izadi quickly threw out 50,000, and Audrain didn't take long before tripling it to 150,000. Izadi paid to see a turn.

The {9-Spades} turn quickly went check-check.

On the {4-Spades} river, Izadi took the lead again, firing 250,000. Audrain took his time, even standing up and saying something to Izadi about "always having it here." After a minute or two of thought, he laid it down, and Izadi stacked his newfound chips.

Audrain Cracks Kings For a Double

Level 26 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Christopher Audrain
Christopher Audrain

Christopher Audrain raised to 200,000 from under the gun, and John Michalak three-bet to 550,000 from the small blind. Audrain put his last 630,000 in, and Michalak snapped him off.

Christopher Audrain: {q-Spades}{10-Spades}
John Michalak: {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}

Audrain found a little hope on the {6-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} flop, and hit gin on the {q-Hearts} turn, prompting a "Let's go!" from Audrain.

Michalak couldn't catch back up on the {j-Hearts} river, and Audrain earned the double.

"First time I sucked out all tournament!" Audrain said with a smile.

Clock!

Level 26 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Hamid Izadi opened to 120,000 from the cutoff, and Chris Audrain called on the button.

A paired flop came in the form of {7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{2-Spades}, and Izadi bet 300,000, an effective all-in versus Audrain's short stack.

Audrain alternated between staring at Izadi and looking down at the board, shuffling chips throughout intense concentration. The clock was eventually called, though it's unclear by whom, and Audrain laid it down with 20 seconds to spare.
