Premonition

Carlos Giron
Carlos Giron
As the cards were being dealt for the following hand, Eric Levesque piped up:

"I have a feeling about this one. Something big is going to happen."

He was right.

Action folded around the table to Carlos Giron in the small blind who open-shoved all in.

"That's a good move," said Levesque as he looked down at his cards.

A second later his chips were in the middle. "I call."

Levesque: {K-Spades}{Q-Hearts}
Giron: {A-Clubs}{10-Clubs}

The board then filled out {6-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{4c]{A-Diamonds} in favor of Giron, despite several requests for a queen from Levesque.

After the hand, Giron stacked up 495,000 in chips while Levesque fell back down to 950,000.

Levesque Putting the Pressure On

Francis-Nicolas Bouchard raised to 55,000 from the cutoff and Carlos Giron flatted out of the small blind. Eric Levesque was in the big blind and asked how much each player had left in their stacks. He then stood and announced, "I'm all in!"

Bouchard went into the tank while Levesque stood and stared him down. Then, Levesque sat back down and said, "You should fold that."

A few moments later, Bouchard did just that and folded. Giron folded as well. Levesque flipped over {A-Clubs} {Q-Hearts} and slid it right in front of Bouchard's stack.

Sol Searching

Sol Bergren has just picked up another pot to move to 1.68 million in chips, further extending his lead over the rest of the pack.

Darren Keyes opened the pot with a raise to 58,000 from the button and Bergren made the call from the big blind.

The flop came down {10-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{2-Hearts} and both players checked, opting to see a free turn -- {3-Hearts}.

Bergren then led out with a 65,000 bet that was called by Keyes, sending the action to the river -- {7-Diamonds}.

Two quick checks prompted an early showdown where Bergren's {K-Hearts}{8-Clubs} was good enough to take down the pot.

Keyes never showed his hand and was left with just 224,000 in chips after the fact.

Patrick De Koster Eliminated in 8th Place ($13,818)

Patrick De Koster moved all in after action folded to him in middle position. It then folded to Eric Levesque in the big blind and he made the call, tossing over {Q-Spades} {Q-Hearts}. De Koster held {A-Diamonds} {7-Spades}.

The board ran out {9-Spades} {7-Diamonds} {5-Spades} {J-Hearts} {K-Spades}, eliminating De Koster from the tournament.

Levesque ran over to his railbirds, cheering and high-fiving with them. He's now over one million chips.
