Scott Seiver raised to 5,000 under the gun, and Eastgate reraised to 77,000, enough to put Scott all in. Seiver called instantly, showing showed {A-Diamonds} {A-Spades}. He was in good shape against Eastgate's {K-Diamonds} {J-Spades}.

The board ran out: {9-Clubs} {5-Hearts} {2-Clubs} {K-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds}. Seiver doubled to 129,000, leaving Eastgate short.

Cassidy Cruising

Joe Cassidy

Action folded to Faraz Jaka in the small blind, who raised to 6,000. Joe Cassidy looked him up in the big blind. On the {A-Diamonds} {J-Clubs} {6-Diamonds} flop, Cassidy bet 8,000, and Jaka called. The turn brought the {8-Spades}. Cassidy bet 13,500 this time, and Jaka called again. The {2-Hearts} river didn't change the pattern. Cassidy bet 28,000, and Jaka called the third bet. Cassidy showed {A-Spades} {Q-Spades} for top pair with a queen kicker. Jaka mucked, flashing an ace.

It's All About the Bounties, Baby

This isn't your average no limit hold'em tournament. The addition of $5,000 bounties for every elimination and the $100,000 prize for accumulating the most bounties changes the players' strategies. Scott Seiver wiped out his entire table in the first round, earning six bounties. That put him in the lead for the most-deadly-player race. But now he's the shortest stack at the table. Chipping up enough to be able to earn another bounty or two has to be on Seiver's mind. Though each player's $5,000 bounty is small in comparison to the $450,000 payday for the winner, the $100,000 prize is more than enough to effect ICM calculations.

Someone Get Griffin a Coffee

Ashton Griffin spent all of last night playing online and rumor has it, he hasn't slept a wink yet. Don't worry though, the tournament staff has scheduled 15-minute breaks every couple levels and Griffin is taking full advantage of them as you can see in the picture. On Day 1, Griffin was late to play because he was out late night partying it up in Las Vegas. Now he's just trying to stay awake at the table.

Upon returning to action, Griffin had a bagel with him at the table. With the way his body clock is right now, it's probably just about time for breakfast.

Seiver Slipping

Scott Seiver
Scott Seiver
Joe Cassidy raised to 4,100 from the cutoff, and Faraz Jaka called, on teh button. Scott Seiver came along from the big blind.

Flop: {5-Hearts} {4-Spades} {3-Clubs} Scott checked, Joe checked, and Jaka bet 8,500. Seiver raised to 27,000, Cassidy folded, and Jaka made the call.

Turn: {8-Spades} - Scott checked, and Jaka bet 45,000. Seiver called.

River: {6-Hearts} - Seiver checked again, and Jaka checked behind. Seiver showed {10-?} {8-?} for a check-raise bluff on the flop and a turned pair of eights. Jaka tabled {A-Spades} {2-Spades} for the flopped wheel and the rivered six-high straight to scoop the pot.

Seiver Shoves Over Eastgate's River Bet

Faraz Jaka raised from under the gun to 4,000 and Peter Eastgate called from the next seat. Scott Seiver was next in line and called as well before Brett Richey called from the small blind. Joe Cassidy folded in the big blind.

The flop came down {A-Clubs}{8-Spades}{2-Spades} and action checked to Eastgate. He fired a bet and only Seiver called.

The turn was the {Q-Clubs} and both remaining players checked. Eastgate fired 25,000 and then Seiver moved all in. Before a count was announced, Eastgate folded his hand and Seiver got a nice chunk of chips back.

The Ashman on Fire

Seiver raised to 5,200, Ashton Griffin called, and Brett Richey came along in the big blind.

Flop: {A-Diamonds} {J-Diamonds} {7-Hearts} - Richey checked to Seiver, who bet 8,500. Griffin then popped it to 23,000. Richey quickly folded. Seiver asked for a count Griffin's stack and decided to call.

Turn: {2-Spades} - Seiver checked, and Griffin bet 38,500. Seiver called again.

River: {6-Spades} - Seiver checked again, and Griffin moved all in for 83,500. Scott went deep into the tank, alternating between looking down at the felt and staring intently at Griffin's face only a few inches away. Finally, he let it go, and Griffin picked up the biggest pot of the day.
