Silence of the Fans

Even with the Bellini Ballroom almost as packed as it was yesterday for the Main Event final table, there's nearly complete silence. Maybe the fans recognize that this is a "High Roller" event, but even so, first place is less money than first place was yesterday by about half. Who knows, maybe things will get louder once the action picks up.

Seiver Fires Biggest Bet So Far

Brett Richey raised to 3,500 from under the gun and then Scott Seiver reraised to 11,500 on the button. Richey made the call when action got back to him.

The two players took a flop of {5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{3-Hearts} and both checked. The turn was the {7-Hearts} and Richey fired 13,500. Seiver made the call.

The river completed the board with the {7-Spades} and Richey checked. Seiver sat motionless with his head down against his hands like he was saying a prayer. He then fired 40,000. This was the biggest bet that was made so far at the final table and Richey folded his hand.
