Duhamel:
Woodward:
Duhamel's pair of tens proved to be the winner and he scooped the entire pot. In the process, he eliminated Ramdin in ninth place and earned his fifth bounty to tie for the lead in the bounty race with the already eliminated Shawn Buchanan and Sameer Al Janedi.
Ramdin took home $48,000 total from this bounty event. When you combine that with the $500,000 he won the the $5,000 Main Event here at The Big Event at The Bike, Ramdin's weekly total is a cool $548,000.
We're barely 30 minutes in to the tournament and already we've seen two monster pots. In the most recent, Jonathan Duhamel raised preflop and received calls from Alex Keating and Shane Schleger. When action reached John Smith in the big blind, he reraised to 4,200. Duhamel responded by making it 11,7000, which pushed Keating and Schleger out of the pot, and Smith moved all in. Duhamel quickly called for a total of 51,625 and the cards were turned up:
Smith:
Duhamel:
Smith was in great shape with pocket kings yet again. Duhamel was looking for an ace, but the flop gave him some straight outs with any ten. The turn brought him one step close to elimination, but much to his relief and the surprise of the other players, the spiked on the river! Duhamel hit his card to double to just over 100K while Smith dropped back down to the starting stack of 50,000.
After being crippled in set-over-set fashion, Victor Ramdin was all in for 275. The entire table called to see the flop come down . Shane Schleger bet 1,100 and next-to-act Matt Woodward raised to 3,500. Everyone folded back to Schleger and he also folded, giving Woodward the side pot.
Woodward showed top pair with the and Ramdin was on the ropes with the .
The turn brought the to give Ramdin the better pair, but Woodward picked up a flush draw in spades. The river completed the board with the and Ramdin successfully noctupled up, if that's even a word.
A huge hand early on at the Bounty Shootout just occurred. It began when John Smith raised to 600, Jonathan Duhamel called, and Victor Ramdin reraised to 2,650. Action folded back to Smith and he repopped it to 7,100. Duhamel wisely got out of the way while Ramdin made the call.
When the flop came down , Smith led out for 8,700, Ramdin called, and the peeled off on the turn. At this point, Smith bet 17,500, Ramdin moved all in, and Smith snap-called for a total of 33,950.
Smith:
Ramdin:
Ramdin had flopped middle set but ran it straight in to Smith's top set, leaving him looking for the on the river to eliminate his opponent. Unfortunately for him, the river was the and Smith doubled to nearly 100,000 while Ramdin was left with less than 500.
Ali Eslami raised to 425 from early position only to be raised to 1,200 by Jonathan Duhamel on the button. The blinds got out of the way, Eslami made the call, and the flop came down .
After both players had checked the flop, the hit the turn. Eslami proceeded to check-fold to Duhamel's bet of 1,350.
The cards are in the air for the $10,000 ESPN Bounty Shootout final table.
