Bounty Race Assured a Five-Way Tie

Level 11 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

With the elimination of Alex Keating in third place, that means either Ali Eslami or Pat Walsh will win this $10,000 ESPN Bounty Shootout. They'll earn an extra bounty for doing so and that means there will be a five-way tie for the most bounties at five. Jonathan Duhamel, Shawn Buchanan, Sameer Al Janedi and John Smith all have five with these two remaining players having four each. Let's see who wants it more.

Alex Keating Eliminated in 3rd Place ($62,000)

Level 11 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
Alex Keating - 3rd Place
Alex Keating - 3rd Place

From the button, Ali Eslami was all in for 45,000. Alex Keating called from the big blind and was all in for less, 35,000.

Keating: {K-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Eslami: {Q-Clubs}{4-Hearts}

The flop came down {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} and gave both players a pair. Keating's pair was a little better and he had a straight draw, but Eslami held a flush draw.

The turn brought the {2-Diamonds} and the river the {9-Hearts}. The heart on the river brought in the flush for Eslami and he sent Keating to the rail.

Keating earned two bounties today to go along with his one bounty from day one to give him a total of $62,000 in earnings.

Huge Double for Walsh

Level 11 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Pat Walsh checked the flop of {K-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{4-Clubs} to Alex Keating. Keating bet 7,000 and Walsh check-raised to 26,000. Keating thought for a minute and then moved all in. He was met with a snap-call from Walsh.

Walsh tabled the {K-Clubs}{4-Hearts} for top and bottom pair. Keating held the {A-Hearts}{J-Hearts} for a heart flush draw.

The turn brought the {5-Hearts} to give Keating the flush and have Walsh on the ropes. The river was a miracle card for Walsh when the {4-Diamonds} hit and gave him a full house. Walsh was all in on the flop for 171,000 and now has a commanding chip lead on the other two players.

Joe Tehan Eliminated in 4th Place ($56,000)

Level 11 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
Joe Tehan- 4th place
Joe Tehan- 4th place

Pat Walsh raised to 7,000 on the button and Joe Tehan moved all in for about 50,000. Walsh snap-called and Tehan seemed to know he was in trouble.

Walsh: {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}
Tehan: {K-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}

Walsh was in a dominate position and managed to improve on the {2-Clubs}{5-Spades}{A-Spades}. The {3-Hearts} turn left Tehan drawing dead to a win but he could still chop with a four. Unfortunately for him, the river was the {9-Diamonds} and he was sent home in fourth place. Tehan took home $56,000 for his performance in the Bounty Shootout.

John Smith Eliminated in 5th Place ($58,000)

Level 11 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
John Smith- 5th place
John Smith- 5th place

Alex Keating raised to 6,000 and John Smith moved all in for 9,000 or so. Pat Walsh the reraised to 21,000 back to Keating, who moved all in himself. Walsh, who may have been after Smith's $10,000 bounty, quickly mucked and the cards were turned up:

Smith: {K-Clubs}{10-Hearts}
Keating: {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}

Keating was ahead but not when the flop fell {2-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}. Smith had paired his king to take the lead. The {10-Clubs} gave Smith two pair but also gave Keating some straight out. He could retake the lead and eliminate Smith with any ace, queen, or jack. Sure enough, the {A-Spades} spiked on the river and Smith's long day came to an end in fifth place. He had five bounties to his credit, so he'll take home $58,000 for his efforts.
