Keating's Flush Downs Smith's Striaght

Level 11 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Alex Keating raised to 6,000 on the button and was called by John Smith in the big blind. Smith then led out for 7,500 on the {J-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} flop, which Keating called. When the {10-Diamonds} was put out on the turn, Smith bet 15,000, Keating called, and the {J-Diamonds} hit the river.

At this point Smith checked, Keating moved all in for 59,500 and Smith called. Keating rolled over P8d}{3-Diamonds} for a rivered flush and crushed Smith's {9-Spades}{7-Hearts} straight. Keating is up to around 170,000 while Smith was left with just 8,500.

Walsh Gets Sly

Level 11 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Ali Eslami raised to 6,000 on the button and was called by John Smith in the small blind and Pat Walsh in the big. Action checked to Eslami on the {2-Spades}{7-Spades}{K-Diamonds} flop and he fired out 12,500. Smith was quick to get out of the way while Walsh surprised everyone with a check-raise to 27,000. It proved too much for Eslami as he conceded the hand.

All In and a Call

Level 10 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Joe Tehan moved all in for 37,300 from the button and was called by Ali Eslami in the big blind.

Tehan: {A-Spades}{5-Spades}
Eslami: {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}

Tehan had been making a lot of moves of late and it seemed his days were numbered. That all changed when the flop came down {10-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{5-Clubs} giving him a pair and the lead. The {7-Spades} turn changed nothing and neither did the {6-Spades} river. Just like that Tehan doubled to around 80,000 while Eslami dropped to 75,000.

Back-to-Back Shoves for Tehan

Level 10 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Action folded to Pat Walsh in the small blind and he limped. Joe Tehan, who is the short stack, proceeded to move all in from the big blind and Walsh quickly folded.

On the next hand, action folded to Tehan in the small blind and he shipped his stack, prompting Alex Keating to fold the big blind. Tehan seems determined to chip his way back up.

Smith Doubles Through Tehan

Level 10 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante
John Smith
John Smith

John Smith raised to 5,500 on the button only to have Joe Tehan, the bigger stack, move all in from the big blind. Smith shrugged and called off for a total of 40,400.

Tehan: {A-Spades}{8-Clubs}
Smith: {Q-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}

Tehan was ahead and even more so when the flop came down {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{7-Clubs}, although Smith could make a straight with any ten. Wouldn't you know it, the {10-Hearts} spiked on the turn. Tehan was drawing dead as the {J-Spades} was run out on the river. Tehan is down to around 38,000 while Smith double to over 80,000.

Smith Waits Until River to Bet

Level 10 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

From under the gun, John Smith raised to 5,500. Ali Eslami made the call from the big blind and the two went to the flop to see the {7-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{2-Spades} come down.

Both players checked the flop and the {4-Clubs} was added to the board on the turn. They both checked again and the {2-Clubs} paired the board on the river. After Eslami checked, Smith bet and Eslami folded.

Walsh Turns Up the Heat

Level 10 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Alex Keating raised to 5,000 preflop and Pat Walsh made the call to watch the flop come down {7-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}. From there, Walsh checked, Keating bet 5,000, Walsh check-raised to 15,000, and Keating made the call.

When the dealer burned and turned the {6-Hearts}, Walsh took the initiative and led out for 21,000. Keating hit the tank before conceding the hand.
