Bill Perpich opened to 35,000 from under the gun and received calls from Rob Wazwaz, who was on the button, and Vic Peppe in the small blind. James Lawrence then announced a three-bet all in, putting all remaining players to decisions for their stacks.
Perpich went into the tank for a bit before announcing a call, prompting immediate folds from Wazwaz and Peppe.

There was at least 200,000 in the middle on the river with a board of 
with heads-up action between Justin Thurlow in the big blind and James Lawrence, who was in the hijack.
Thurlow had fired out 50,000 and Lawrence was in the tank. After some time, he folded 
face-up.
"Wow! Nice fold, Jimmy!" said Thurlow as the dealer began to send the pot his way. "I'll show." The dealer looked up to him as she shipped him the pot and he reaffirmed he would show as he stood up with cards still in hand.
He then tabled 
for Broadway and proceeded to rake in the pot, slamming his fist on the felt again emphatically as he gave Lawrence another genuine compliment on how great of a fold he had made.

James Lawrence opened to 40,000 from the cutoff and was called by Bob Van Syckle, who was on the button. Aaron Curti was in the big blind and reraised all in for 80,000, receiving calls from Lawrence and Van Syckle to give him an opportunity to triple up with any future action going into a side pot between Lawrence and Van Syckle.

and Lawrence checked. Van Syckle slid out a stack of chips to bet and Lawrence quickly folded to leave just two players remaining.

Van Syckle's flopped pair of tens was ahead of Curti's ace-high and nothing changed as the turn and river 
completed the runout to earn Van Syckle the pot as Curti was eliminated from the tournament.
Moments later, Scotter Clark shoved all in from the cutoff and was called by Gennady Shimelfarb.
