Break

Level 16 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante

The remaining four players are on break for 15 minutes. The yellow T1,000 chips are being raced off during this break and we'll have chip counts in a minute.

Schulman Gets One Back

Level 16 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante

Nick Schulman raised to 65,000 under the gun, and Eugene Katchalov called from the big blind. He check-called Schulman's 85,000-chip bet on the {10-Spades} {7-Clubs} {4-Hearts} flop, and they checked down the {2-Clubs} turn and {J-Clubs} river.

It's the first pot Schulman's won in quite some time as his {K-} {7-} was good enough to top Katchalov's {A-} {8-}.

Another Schulman Slip

Level 16 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante

In a battle of the blinds, Nick Schulman raised to 85,000 from the small, and Bryn Kenney called from the big. Once again, Schulman gave up control with a check on the {9-Diamonds} {4-Hearts} {3-Clubs} flop, and Kenney simply bet 103,000 to win the pot.

Schulman Gets Snapped Off

Level 16 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante

We admittedly missed the preflop action, and we'll blame the small electrical fire that broke out in the corner of the stage for that. Anyways, we picked up the action live as the dealer flopped {Q-Hearts} {4-Hearts} {4-Spades} on board in a three-way pot. Everyone checked, and the {5-Hearts} turn drew another check from small blind Eugene Katchalov. Nick Schulman took his cue to bet 75,000 at the pot, and Daniel Negreanu called from the button. Katchalov folded to let the other two see the {8-Diamonds} river, and Negreanu called one last bet of 155,000 from Schulman.

The bettor was bluffing. He mucked, and Negreanu showed his {A-Diamonds} {2-Spades} to take the pot with a fine call. Schulman is beginning to look a bit frustrated as his stack dwindles further.

Battle of the Blinds

Level 16 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante

Daniel Negreanu opened to 87,000 from the small blind, and Eugene Katchalov defended his big with a call.

They took a {2-Spades} {4-Hearts} {7-Spades} flop, and Katchalov called 110,000 from Negreanu. They checked it down the rest of the way as the {7-Diamonds} turn and {A-Diamonds} river completed the board. Negreanu showed his {3-} {4-}, and fourth pair was good enough to take the pot.

Negreanu Back in Front

Level 16 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante
Daniel Negreanu

Daniel Negreanu opened to 72,000 from the button, and Nick Schulman came along from the big blind. The two of them check-checked the {A-Diamonds} {K-Hearts} {9-Clubs} flop, and Schulman checked again on the {4-Clubs} turn. He called a bet of 125,000 from Negreanu, then check-called another 325,000 following the {6-Hearts} river.

Negreanu tabled {4-Spades} {4-Diamonds} for the turned set, and it was good. Schulman flashed his {A-Hearts} {10-} before returning them to the muck, and he's given the chip lead back to Negreanu with that pot.

We should note that we're unable to count chips since we have no access to the table, but we're doing the best we can to keep track of them. Our math has Negreanu just over 3 million now, about a half million chips in front of Schulman. We'll get hard counts from the table during the upcoming break.

Katch Him if You Can

Level 16 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante

Eugene Katchalov made it 75,000 preflop, and Nick Schulman reraised to 210,000 next door. Katchalov called for a flop, and it came out {K-Diamonds} {7-Spades} {3-Diamonds}. Schulman gave up control with a check, and he called a bet of 250,000 from Katchalov. The {2-Spades} landed on fourth street, and this time Katchalov fired a healthy bet of 600,000. That was too much for Schulman to call, and he surrendered his hand.

Shots?

Level 15 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

Poker commentator and media personality Joe Stapleton has just arrived in the stands, presumably to sweat his buddy Daniel Negreanu.

Kid Poker noticed his new fan in the crowd, and he piped up after that last hand. "Stapes! What's up buddy. If we bust this guy (pointing to Bryn Kenney), we're all doing shots!"

Eugene Katchalov raised to 70,000 under the gun, and Daniel Negreanu once again defended his big blind. The two men took a heads-up flop of {K-Hearts} {K-Diamonds} {2-Diamonds}, and Negreanu check-called a 55,000-chip continuation bet.

They checked it down the rest of the way after the {J-Spades} turn and {Q-Clubs} river. Katchalov tabled his {A-} {J-} first, and that was the winner.
