On one of the last hands before the break we saw Bill Perkins all in and at risk for about 90,000 chips against Vladimir Troyanovskiy.

Perkins: {K-Spades}{K-Clubs}

The board ran out {A-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{7-Spades}{8-Clubs} and Perkins hit the rail. Perkins immediately went over to the cage to re-enter the tournament in the final minutes of registration.

Shak Cracks Urbanovich's Aces

Level 9 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Another hand from before the break: After unknown action we saw Dan Shak all in and at risk, but he was ahead when the cards were turned face up.

The flop showed {4-Spades}{7-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} and Shak tabled {4-Clubs}{7-Clubs} for two pair against Urbanovich's {A-Clubs}{A-Spades}.

Shak was at risk for 108,000 and the {Q-Clubs} turn and the {3-Hearts} river kept him in the game.

Leah Doubles Through Vogelsang

Level 8 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Thomas Muehloecker raised to 11,000 and Christoph Vogelsang three-bet from his immediate left to 29,000. The action folded to Mike Leah and he made it 86,000 with only 2,900 chips left behind.

Muehloecker folded right away and Vogelsang tanked for a while before making the call saying, "Let's see if I can still fold on the flop," and the other players laughed.

The flop brought out {Q-Spades}{6-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} and Leah was already all in blind for his last chips.

"That's not good," Vogelsang said, and his opponents chuckled again, but he did make the call.

Leah: {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}
Vogelsang: {A-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}

The turn was the {7-Hearts} and the river the {6-Hearts}, giving Leah a double up right before the end of the registration period in the level prior to the most recent break.

Break

Level 8 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Play will resume in 20 minutes, at which time the re-entry period will close.

McDonald Done and Dusted

Level 8 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Mike McDonald
Mike McDonald

Mike "Timex McDonald was the first player eliminated from the tournament, and he missed the mark with his second bullet as he was just felled again.

His demise came after losing a big hand to Fedor Holz. It happened when McDonald raised to 11,000 from the button and Holz three-bet all in for 181,400 from the small blind. McDonald thought long and hard before making the call and the cards were turned up.

McDonald: {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Holz: {4-Spades}{4-Diamonds}

The {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{j-Spades} flop gave Holz a full house, but McDonald was drawing to overs, not to mention the case jack. Unfortunately for him, neither the {7-Diamonds} turn nor {8-Clubs} river was what he needed and he was left with just 5,000 after the hand.

In the next hand, he managed to double when his pocket sevens held against Jeff Gross' {k-Spades}{j-Diamonds}, but a hand after that he was eliminated when his {k-Spades}{q-Hearts} failed to get their against the {j-Clubs}{j-Spades} of European Poker Tour Prague €10,300 High Roller champ Kenny "kenny05" Smaron.

Haxton: {J-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}
Mercier: {A-}{K-}

The board ran out {Q-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{10-Hearts} and Haxton sent Mercier to the rail.
