Timothy Adams

The clocks have been stopped with 10 minutes left on the level, as Adrian Attenborough's elimination was soon after followed by the exit of Timothy Adams.

Adams was all in for his last 47,000 with the {A-Hearts}{8-Hearts} and JC Alvarado looked him up with the slightly inferior {A-Clubs}{9-Clubs}. The board came {A-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{4-Spades}{J-Spades}{6-Spades} and the kicker played to eliminate Adams.

Over on table two, a big pot of almost 100,000 emerged until the [6h5h2h3c turn and Artem Metalidi faced the shove of David Peters. Metalidi only had around 130,000 left and used two time bank extensions, but eventually folded.

Salter Gets Busy, Petrangelo Wins One

Level 9 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Jack Salter has been getting busy now the re-entry period has closed, opening from early position with a raise to 14,000. Zhao Hongjun looked interested in defending his big blind, until Salter talked him out of it.

Come on, youve got loads of chips, you can let this one go, quipped Salter light-heartedly.

Ok, confirms Hongjun as he let it go.

Salter opened again the next hand for the same 14,000, this time from under-the-gun. Action folded around to Nick Petrangelo in the big blind and he thought about it and then tossed in the call.

How much are you playing? quizzed Salter eyeing up Petranelgos stack. The US player is on his second bullet and looked to have a little over the 100,000 starting stack.

The {a-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{4-Spades} flop brought a check from Petrangelo and another 14,000 bet from Salter, which was quickly called to bring both players to the {5-Spades} turn.

That was it for the action in the hand with Petrangelo checking and Salter checking it right back, with the pattern repeating on the {4-Diamonds} river.

Petrangelo rolled over {a-Spades}{6-Spades} and Salter quickly mucked.

O'Dwyer Runs out of Magic Mango

Level 9 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Steve O'Dwyer
Steve O'Dwyer

After a raise by Steve O'Dwyer, Fabian Quoss defended his big blind and checked the flop of {J-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}. O'Dwyer continued for 20,000 and Quoss then check-raised all in for effectively 110,000, as that's what O'Dwyer had left. The Irishman called and was ahead in the showdown.

Steve O'Dwyer: {J-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}
Fabian Quoss: {J-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}

While the {4-Diamonds} turn changed nothing, the {Q-Hearts} river indeed improved Quoss to a straight. O'Dwyer took his belongings, looked down at the mango slices next to his seat, and said "I will take one last bite" before exiting the tournament room. Daniel Dvoress jokingly asked Quoss if he had a bite of the magic mango as well and Quoss nodded with a big grin on his face.

Level 9 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Chunqing Wang moved all in for his last 79,000 from the hijack and the action folded to big stack Mikita Badziakouski on the button. he checked the stacks of the players behind him, then called. Both blinds got out of the way and the cards were tabled.

Chunqing Wang: {A-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Mikita Badziakouski: {A-Spades}{J-Clubs}

The kicker problem would prove vital, as the board ran out {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{8-Clubs} to eliminate Wang.

Also no longer in: Martin Kozlov.

While most other tables had already prepared the chip race for the break, one table was still running. Sam Greenwood had raised to 12,000 and short stack Daniel Neilson moved all in for 54,500 from one seat over. All opponents folded and the action was back on Greenwood, who quickly called.

Daniel Neilson: {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}
